Aroma is sweet and spicy at the same time, and not what I expected. Flavour is extremely sweet with caramel, hints of roasted malts, and lots of great spicing. Not at all what I expected from a brown ale but it’s quite nice, actually. ilovedarkbeer (1369), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 3, 2007 Pours a nice amber brown color with a white foamy head. Smells of sugar and malt. Not much in the taste department. Had to try it again because I did not get much. Tastes of water, dark fruits, brown sugar, and caramel. Flavor is not bold enough for my liking. stobbe74 (714), Denmark

Aroma is hard to describe. Flavor is very interesting, and nice. Slight roasted malts with undertones of fruits, especially apple, and some caramel and toffee. Smooth and easy to drink. A nice surprise.
