COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Tilquin Faro is a traditionnal faro made from the blending of 50% Meerts lambic (brewed by Boon), and 50% of a blend of 1 year old lambics (from Lindemans, Girardin and Cantillon), with a small amount of liquid candy sugar. It is flat and not refermented. It doesn’t exist on bottle, only on cask. It is only served fresh on festivals and opendoors and sometimes sold to local bars.

From hand pump @ Borefts 2014. This is a cloudy kinda copper colored one, only a translucent bubbly sidesticking thing on the top. Mild aroma - at least at first. It has tones of dry wood, mild gueuze and something almost fruity. Not any indication that this will be yet one of those over sweet and faros. It’s not! At all! Oh, this is the first drinkable faro I’ve had! Cask-flat on in the mouth, as dead as they come really, but it has a nice gliding mouthfeel. Hard to describe what this tastes like. Definitely fruity. Sweetbreads apples in season with traces of both pear, a fair amount of wood and a little bit of sugar syrup. Yeah, this i could drink again and again. 26.09.2014

UPDATED: APR 27, 2016 Pours@Tilquin British BF, TdG 2015. Artisanal, on-site fresh mix of baby lambic and fragrant beetroot candi sugar Cassonade Graeffe, which gives the weak, lactic, whey-like acidity a lot of meat and texture to fill the mouth like a sweet Arizona ice tea lemonade with a classy necktie. Good amounts of lemon peel underneath, an earthy funk working in tasty accord with the just as earthy caramels. Not overly sweet or sticky, while adhesive. Hits all the buttons of taste and medium complexity a sessionable bluecollar faro is supposed to deliver and this one did so with gusto. Please bag this in 10L box format so I can make it my summertime house ice tea? // Rerate full glass ZBF 2016: love the cassonade lemon ice tea. so well-rounded and sessionable, still.

Draft @ beer temple. Golden pour. Aroma of horseblanket, creamy grain and candi. Tardy taste of barnyard, grain and old hop. With candi sugar, but nicely balanced and not overly sweet. Nice beer, especially for this style.
