Poured this beer from the bottle into a trumpet glass to drink. The beer had a clear, bubbly, lighter-gold color with a good-sized foamy white head with average retention, and modest cling and lacing. The aroma featured straw and grainy hops, with some earthy and barley tones, and a light sour mash. Its taste was a bitter-sour grainy blend with notes of straw and barley, and very light sweet malt. Its body had light carbonation and fizz, and was a bit watery and wet, with a fairly full mouthfeel. Not bad for an uncelebrated pale lager.

Lane. Kolor ciemnozłoty, piana mała, aromat nijaki. W smaku niefajne żelazo i nieprzyjemna goryczka. Słabe piwsko, ktůre chybia kiedyś było lepsze.

50 cl can thanks to Anka (non-ratebeer) on August 28, 2016. BB 29.01.2017. 21:17 /6
Clear straw yellow to pale golden color, small but lasting white head. Sweet, grainy, slight vegetal scent. Sweet, dry, gypsum, slight bitter, vegetal, bell peppers taste. Grainy, dry, mineral aftertaste. Fizzy a bit astringent mouthfeel, medium dry harsh bitterness. Lasting grainy bitter finish.
Two of shared the can but still didnít finish it, wasnít really for us this one, but fun to taste and always appreciated when mates makes the effort to bring something I wouldnít normally find or taste on my own.

Bottle. The aromas are somewhat decent for a lager, but the mostly grainy notes are rather boring, together with an uncharacteristic, slightly off grass like smell to it. Flavour is sweetish, a bit of malt, and just this general non-crisp background that you find in many lagers. The texture is not watery, which saves its mild body from becoming totally uninteresting, but the general impression is not that good. Still better than some that you can find, but I feel that it needs something more - a more engaging presence of hops, or a cleaner crisp, refreshing character on palate would have done a lot for this beer.

Can from the Romanian shop on Cricklewood. Golden colour, thin foam. Reasonably clean malty lager with a definite but slightly harsh hop bitterness. Not the worst.

The beer has quite a normal look. Itís just a pilsener. The color is golden yellow and on top of the beer a normal layer of white foam is formed. It doesnít look very special. Just a good pilsener. The smell is average. Itís just a pilsener, no more, no less. It has a nice sweet malty aroma, together with a bitter but simple hoppy touch. The taste is also not very special. Itís a bit to malty and the bitterness of the hops is not very pleasant. I have had better beers, but also worse. Just an average brew.

From a bottle into a Chimay glass. Pours gold with head and lace. Aroma of grains, slight dough and honey. Medium carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of grains, minerals, corn syrup, hay. Overall light, watery with significant sweetness...so so flavor.
