(Timmermans Framboise Lambic ) Bottle 250 ml at home, as Framboise Lambicus, poured into a stem glass, ABV 4% Intense red colour on the body, crystal clear, tall and pink-ish head, collapsing fast, leaving just some spots of lacing on the glass. Aroma of berries, cherries, candy sugar. Taste is sour at first and quite intense for such a beer actually, becomes sweet on the finish and the aftertaste. Raspberries, wheat, candy sugar. Thin body, high carbonation. Okay.

From 345 ml bottle. Pours a clear pink-orange with a fluffy pink head and moderate carbonation. Aromas of fresh raspberry, sour cherry, apple juice and a touch of hay. Taste is more like raspberry jam than fresh fruit. There’s also a touch of cherry, candy and musk. A lesser framboise but not all that bad.

Een lekker verfrissend frambozenbier, zoals het hoort te zijn. Niets wereldschokkends, maar gewoon goed.

Nicely done. Good balance with citrus lambic bretta. Pours pinkish red with pinkish head and lacing. Light sour and sweet finish. Bottle drank on Rehoboth beach.

You have to suspend your normal ideas of beer when you taste these fruit lambics. Just as you can’t compare a fruit tea to an Earl Grey or an Assam, I think you have to treat these as a completely separate type of drink. On which basis, this is good. The sweet and sour balance out really well on the taste, the raspberries dominate the nose, it has a pleasing palate and carbonation, and the red / brown colour is attractive. What’s not to like. Beer, but not as we know it.

the aroma is fruity, with shades of raspberry and raspberry seeds... the taste is sweet and sour with notes of raspberry, candy and yeast... aftertaste is sweet and, a little bit, dry...

Decent fruit beer. Has some real raspberry I think, but it’s also too sweet. And the lambic is hard to detect.
