4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle as shown. Pours a hazey yellow with large frothy white head that lasts awhile. The aroma is citrus and tons of funk. Thin mouthfeel with a crisp tartness and lemon with nice sourness in the finish. Easy to drink lots of carbonation, a very impressive gueuze from Timmermans.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark yellow colour with strong carbonation and no head. Aroma has some woodiness and also tart fruitiness and a bit of yeasty funkiness. Although the flavour is tart it’s not over acidic and is quite fruity, similar to Granny Smith apples. Certainly mouthwatering.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Une oude gueuze assez classique avec un nez agréable mais peu complexe et une bouche équilibrée mais qui manque un peu de vitalité, agréable sans plus.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
BOTTLE 37,5CL. The sourness is quite insane, clean lactic, no vinegar, some green stonefruit, fruit pits. Not much funky barnyard notes, it is pretty „clean”. The aroma has faint notes of sweet dried fruit or rose buds, but the taste is pretty straightforwardly sour. Bone dry and crisp, but perhaps too „clean” lactic.

375 ML bottle
Hazy straw color, floaties in the pour. Thin white collar. No lacing.
Nose is straw, barnyard, vinegar, sweat, salt, and some blue cheese. Fun nose.
Taste is full of acid, funk, vinegar, oak, wine, and straw. Lots of pucker action in this. Good carbonation. Lighter medium bodied with a long lasting taste. Fun beer with lots of pucker action

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
75cl bottle bb2031. Murky golden pour. Immediate lemon and green apple sulphurs, some funk in aroma. Taste is on the rougher side of 3F with less dryness: lemon juice, massive green apple with its peel, sulphurous finish. Missing some complexity and fresh sparkle here, but curious to see what happens to the aging bottles.

From a bottle. Not my usual style but, wow, what a flavour punch. This grew on me and I will definitely have it again. Tastes like a sour warhead.

from Apothibières - lightly hazy blond beer with no foam; aroma of cellar, old apples and vinegar; subtle carbonation and a solid sourness; medium-bodied, dry and long very sourish aftertaste of cider, dust and horse blankets - nice one
