COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The flavour of Timmermans Oude Kriek, refermented in the bottle, is without comparison. The cherries from which it derives its taste and colour it features traditionally come from Schaerbeek. Slightly acidic and with a wonderful bouquet, this natural and hence unpredictable brew requires careful handling throughout its long maturation period. Created from a blend of old and young lambic, Timmermans Oude Kriek keeps for 12 years. Like Timmermans Oude Gueuze, this is a precious drink, available in a limited edition only !

0.375 l bottle @ Bruuveri, Helsinki. Deep red colour, no head. Oh, this is very dry kriek. Like old lambic with sour cherries. Quite different from the usual sweet fruit beers. Even more dry than the other oude krieks I have tried so far.

At home. Bottle shared by Mrk. Brewed 2010, bottled 2013. Hazy deep red with quick diminishing head, sour unripe cherry stones, cherries, sugar replacement. Very sour, sweet edge, stone bitterness. Medium body, minerallike texture, sourness generates a lactic slimey response in my mouth. Low carbonation. Bitter and sour finish.

Bouteille 75cl, anno 2012. Acajou presque pourpre, col fin blanc-rosé disparaissant vite.

.375 bottle. Dark reddy hazy. Dried lush red berries on nose. Funk, hay malts, aged aroma. Med bodied, long soft tart flavour. Intense red olish cherries, farmy funk. Pretty nice, intense.
