Two traditions are brought together here in a unique complacency, namely an original succulence never tempted before. The result is sublime, liberating a graceful taste tinted by a controlled acidity on the lambic confused with the dry fruity of the pumpkin and the discreet sugar added. By crossing the middle of the mouth appears a taste of brown sugar remembering and accentuating the convivial touch of Halloween.

I had a sample of this beer poured into a pint glass from the bottle. The beer had a strong fruity aroma with lighter notes of pumpkin mixed with some apple, apricot, and grapefruit, and touches of cinnamon and straw. It had a amber-gold/straw color with a creamy white head that had good retention, excellent creamy cling and good lacing. Its taste was a fruity mix with notes of apple, pumpkin, and citrus hops, along with grapefruit touches, and a lightly sour finish. The body was light and thin, a bit dry, and left a sticky and chalky mouthfeel. Not a great pumpkin-style beer in my opinion.

On tap at Beertemple, Amsterdam. Nose is fruity, pumpkin, sourish, spices. Body is clear ruby brown, head is medium, beige, creamy, average lasting, excellent lacing. Aroma is cherry, honey, biscuit, spices, pumpkin. Medium sweet, medium fruity sour. Finish is medium lasting fruity medium sweet sour. Medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation. Easy fruity sour beer, interesting, tasty, well balanced, nice one.

From the corked, caged 750 ml. bottle dated 09/07/15. It is more than a year old at this point. Not a bad looking orange-amber pour with a modest, short-lived off-white head. This has a fascinating aroma of overripe fruit, pumpkin spice, and a whole of of cinnamon. Medium body. The pumpkin spices offset the tart and overripe fruit characters of a typical Lambic, which makes this interesting. Not out of this world but definitely interesting.

Treated as a lambic, this was poured into a pokal. The appearance was a soft burnt orange (yes, pumpkin color) with a quickly dieing head. No lacing. The aroma starts with a sweet pumpkin fleshiness flowing into subtle sour citrus rind-like character. What’s nice about this is that the sweetness seems quite balanced. Warming slight cinnamon smells nice. Slight acceptable apple juice after a little bit of further warming. The flavor leans sweet first and then brings in the sour pretty nicely. It’s pumpkin fleshy, like real pumpkin, there’s nothing remotely fake about this at all. And the sour that comes in is real nice. Barely any aftertaste (but what there is seems a blend of apple juice to pumpkin flesh), escaping mostly quick finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a fantastic sesssionability about it. Low carbonation. No stickiness. Overall, lambic - check, subsiding sour - check, pumpkin fleshy sweetness - check. Now if this doesn’t make for a nice early Autumn’s evening, nothing will.

Large bottle in Fl. Amber pour with chunks of debris. Fruity aroma. Tastes more like some pie than pumpkin. Very sweet. Tart

Tap (PiwPaw Beer Heaven, Warsaw)
Spicy apple pie and cinnamon aroma, totally one-dimensional. Baked apple taste, again more cinamon. Palate a bit thin, but also with a sugary stickiness and a bit too fizzy. Not a particularly good lambic.

Tap (PiwPaw Beer Heaven, Warszaw). Clear dark amber color. Medium size, beige head, stays. Pumpkin, cloying sweetness, herbal and yeasty in aroma. Sour, pumpkin, sweet, biscuits in taste. Sour, milky, wheat and biscuits in aftertaste. Messy mouthfeel.

Sampled at ESBLS. I was curious about this one. Clear golden with plenty of bubbles rising. I taste sugar first followed by cinnamon and fruit. Only a little pumpkin but it increases. Interesting fruit and spices. This could be a Halloween Lambic.

Bottle: Clear, bubbled, coppery-gold with a faint ring. Aroma is a bit cidery, apple...yeast. Taste is sweet, not much pumpkin, more apple and brown sugar, really. Ok, but not very biting or sour.

Very tart but sweet, slightly weird mix. A very hazy beer with huge yeast particles and light carbonation. Not bad but not in a hurry to have again.
