3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a slightly hazy orange, with a foamy head that disappears quickly. Aroma of pumpkin and refined sugar. The overwhelming sweetness leaves little room for anything else. Taste pretty much follows the aroma. An initial flavor of pumpkin is followed by the taste of orange soda--sweetness prevails. A hint of wild yeast at the end adds some funkiness to the aftertaste. Mouthfeel again echoes soda, syrupy and fizzy. In conclusion, a sweet lambic that is only mildly pumpkin flavored. Fair, but Iím not sure that Iíll seek this one out again.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured into a tulip. Produced on 20/08/12.
3.25 A: Partially murky medium orange color. A couple fingers of foamy white head that fell quickly and left only a few wisps of lacing.
3.5 S: I never knew Timmermans was backsweetened till now. I suppose thatís why no one ever talks about them. This has a distinct apple cider aroma to it. Pumpkin is secondary. It works, especially since both things come out in the fall. It even has the whole mulling spices thing going on. Good bit of sweetness, but no overly so.
3.5 T: Taste is like the nose. Spiced apple cider. Iím not even sure if I can taste any pumpkin. There really isnít a whole lot else to say. Moderate sweetness with some funk aspects hidden behind the sugars. Not a brewerís masterpiece, but it is tasty nonetheless.
3.75 M: Light to lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation that is soft and spritzy. Supremely smooth.
3.5 D: I never know what to make of sweetened lambics, but they always taste good. I feel like Iím drinking a soft drink half the time, but I guess itís not so bad.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Draft at Barbant Cafť. I thought this was amazing. Pumpin on the nose. Spices and pumpkin on the flavor with a very nice sourness to go with it. Sour and pumpkin wasnít something I could fathom until now. Fantastically delicious.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20

A steady pour into my teku glass produces a two-finger thick, pale amber tinged, tan colored head. the beer is a bright amber color that shows an absolutely brilliantly clear, lighter version of the same when held up to the light. The aroma smells of tart, slightly funky Lambic as I pour it, but a closer inspection yields pumpkin pie spices as the dominant note; cinnamon, a bit of nutmeg, and perhaps a gingery back note. It is hard to smell anything but a touch of tartness underneath the spices, the latter also accentuates a sweetness in the nose.
The beer is only lightly sweet, but is also only lightly tart, and there is a tannic note to the finish as well; all three of these make me think of lightly sweetened ice tea. The spice flavors are reduced a bit from the aroma, but are still the dominant note; cinnamon lingers on for a long time in the finish, there is a bit of a gingery bite perhaps, and the nutmeg adds a spice flavor from the beginning. There is a touch of sour vegetal character here that suggests at pumpkin meat, but may just be imagined. The body is fairly light and quaffable, though it doesnít have the richness of some Lambics, but isnít overly thin either.
Not bad, in fact I was expecting a lot worse; the fact that this isnít overly sweet really helps. Still this is a bit of a weird beer, and I am not sure I would ever try this again.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Weird addition to the range of compromized Timmermans ílambicsí probably aimed at the American pumpkin ale market; stable, moussy, egg-white head, orange blonde with strong fizz, lightly hazy. Aroma has only very limited lambic properties, vague wheat, sherry and woody notes, but overpowered by pumpkin ale spices (cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, ginger), íspeculoosí, apple juice and iron; sweetish taste, almost softly cider-like, pumpkin flavouring apparent but softly so, bit metallic, thin body, even a bit watery in the end, with soft pumpkin and pumpkin ale spiciness. I was hoping for a true íoudí lambic beer with only actual pumpkin (and pumpkin ale spices perhaps), but this is again a diluted, sweetened beer stripped of most of its lambic character. Another hyper-commercial John Martin flub, if you ask me.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tart spicy nose, not real strong, allspice, persimmon, bread. Clear amber, thick head with little retention. Tart currant, apple, allspice. Light body, moderate carbonation. Exceedingly unique, tastefully done, not as gimmicky as I expected. Surprisingly good.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Shared 750 ml. bottle poured to snifters, displaying a clear & bright, amber hue, with a modest layer of soft white head foam that produced a persistent ring, light film, and spots & strands of lacing. The nose was some tartness, brown sugar sweetness, ginger bread, and clove, with a noticeable, but subtle presence of pumpkin. Light bodied, with spritzy carbonation, the taste was an interestingly separate experience from the aroma, with tart fruit, a bit of tropical flavor, a touch of cinnamon, and a dry finish. Not overly expressive, but tastefully refreshing.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pour out of 750 mL bottle, clear orange-red pour with white head, aroma brought notes of sour fruit, oak, lemon, some slight acetic into a bit of vegetal, pumpkin note, some cinnamon in there as well. Taste was a mix of funk, oak, slight cinnamon into some pumpkin, veggie into some lemony sour, finishing slightly spicy, slightly tart.
