Timmermans Strawberry

Tap - Malt Shovel, Northampton. Timmermans have obviously seen Fruli and thought "we’ll have a bit of that". In truth this is better, but only just. Very sweet and milky Artificial strawberry flavours and a creamy texture. Ice pops lambic.

On tap at The Rake, London. Cloudy red orange colour with thin beige head. ARoma of slight sourness plus strawberry kiddie sweet. Oh my god, it’s like drinking liquidised strawberry Opal Fruits. Just not a beer. It’s too sweet, but not way sweet, but it’s not nasty. If you have a sweet tooth, it’s probably quite nice.

A Mes rate: Cask at Fringe.
A strange but oddly appealing very cloudy, dirty salmon pink that is bright red in the middle. A pleasant enough aroma of strawberries and cream. Not quite as artificial tasting as I was expecting but it’s still far from excitement material. Full on strawberry yogurt and crappy burger bar milkshakes. Hugely commercial. The regular folks love this right?

draught @ the rake. Smells like haribo strawberry sweets. cloudy pink grapefruit juice colour with a white fine head. Actually not too artifical tasting, you can almost make out wild strawberries. very round, overly sweet though. Just down my road.

Pours a hazy pink colour, with a thick pink-white head. Strawberry aroma can be smelt with the glass stood on the bar. Has a zingy, zesty palate, sweet on the front, sour on the back of the tongue. Very easy drinking. Absolutely lovely, one of the finest fruit beers I’ve tasted on draught.
