3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Through word-of-mouth Iím told Lambic is sour if you drink it soon after getting it, and sweet if you let it age a little. The only thing Timmermans Strawberry is going to be is sweet, as predicted. It claims to be the best Lambic there is. My experience is limited but when drinks go around claiming to be "the best" they usually mean "the most generic." Neither have I had a great experience with Lambic ales yet anyway, but the flavours here are like a flavoursome, organic fizzy pop with the 4% weight added. I donít get much beer underneath the slightly clingy, slightly over-sweet strawberry flavour that lets you drink in larger gulps, but forces you to rest it a few minutes each time. I think itís slightly more obvious in flavour than the Floris beers, and Iíd personally approach it as a sunny-day fizzy pop than a beer, which doesnít have to be a bad thing as it does have (good) flavour (as well as a bit of additive). It still worked on the night though, a rainy night after a frosty, foggy week. A lasting beverage.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap pour - murky red/pink body with a thin whitish head. Aroma is sweet, berries, hint of funk, yeasty. Flavor is somewhere between a fruit beer and a lambic - very fruity, strawberry, yeasty funkiness, candied malt - very sweet forward. Palate was medium-high carbonation, but was an easy drinker. Wouldnít fly to this one again, but it was a relatively enjoyable pour.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle bought at Redstone (Stoneham, MA). Pours hazy dark pink, almost brownish. Aroma and taste: strawberry liquor, malt, candy. Sweet with slight bitterness. Seems more like a fruit beer than a lambic. Not so bad, but Iím still yet to find a good strawberry beer (if it exists).

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle pours golden pink. Aroma of strawberry and malt with a little lambicus funk. Tart light body strawberry and cereal flavor. Not as strong as the aroma would lead you to believe. Not bad.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle stamped produced on 06/11/12 on the back label making this almost one and a half years old now. Pour has a muddy orange brown color and a coating of white head that fell back to a ring that held well. Aroma has strawberry jam, mild acidity, and berry seeds. Big strawberry boost. Mouth feel is light and the carbonation is on the low side, surprising with such a nice initial head. Flavor again has strawberry jam, cider like funk, and a touch of grainy malt. Not big on the sour though all the elements are here and the fruit is well done. Super drinkable.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Light and fruity, with a sparkly mouthfeel that makes you feel like some strawberries have had a party in your moth, and left a bit of a mess for you to clean up. In a good way.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
An impressive traditionally brewed Kriek by, they say, the worldís oldest lambic brewery. Right balance of sourness, authentic taste (but sweeter then the oude kriek that I tasted in Brussels). spontaneous fermentation all right, the authentic way.
