4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 ml corked and caged bottle. Bottled on 5/30/12. Pours witbier pale yellow with a small white collapsing head that leaves a skiff of foam. Aroma is funky like a lambic (why is this in the witbier category again?), with horseblanket and pungent vinegar pretty strong. Taste is mostly sour and acidic with a sweet edge. Has more in common with a lambic or a plain old sour--other than the appearance, this bears little to no resemblance to any witbier I’ve ever had. Tastes good, whatever it is.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A 375ml corked and caged bottle with a cork date of 2015 and best before date of 10th May 2017. Poured into a d’Achouffe tulip glass. It poured a cloudy golden yellow colour with a two finger bubbly white head that dissipated quickly but left great lacing. Aromas are lightly funky, candy sweetness, orange, orange peel, lemon and hints of mango and pineapple. Tastes of orange peel and honey sweetness which is surrounded by a touch of lemon, light sourness and light funkiness. Crisp, light bodied with moderate to high carbonation. Overall it’s overly sweet in my opinion, but has a nice aroma. The taste is actually fine but I would have preferred it if the sweetness was toned down or even soured.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, pours light hazy yellow with a white head. Light sour aroma with lemon and wheat. Taste follows with sweet apples, light brett notes and artificial lemon taste. I think a witbier/bitter lemon mix could taste something like this.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
35 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Gall&Gall Houten.
Clear golden with a white head. Fruity lambiek aroma with some orange. Bitter taste with a sour touch. Dry finish. Very nice combination of a lambiek and a witbier. This way I even like witbier.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at ’De Paas’. Slightly hazy, straw yellow with a thin, frothy, white head. Sweetish, sourish-fruity aroma of lemon, gooseberry, pineapple and some wheat. Sweetish, sourish-fruity taste of lemon, pineapple, gooseberry and some wheat, followed by a short, slightly bitter, a little tart finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent and a little astringent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Not bad!
