Timmermans Tradition Gueuze Lambic

Bouteille de 33 cl, rapportée de Lyon par Claude. Arômes de cidre et de levures sauvages. Robe dorée et claire, effervescence moyenne et peu de mousse. En bouche, on remarque des pommes légèrement surettes et une touche citronnée. Finale légèrement acide et sucrée. Une version édulcorée d’une gueuze, mais tout de même agréable.

33 cl bottle @ Wombat Pours amber with a white head. The flavour is a tad sour, fruits and little sweetness. It’s ok.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with a reasonably stable white head. Nose of bready malts and wild yeasts. The taste is syrupy sweet for a geuze with a fruity (apples and lemons) presence and a mild citric acid finish. Medium bodied and fizzy on the tongue. It lacks the dryness and astringency of a genuine Oude Geuze. Far too sweet for me. Not one I’d go back to in a hurry.

[bottle] Sour strawberry flavour that is very slightly vinegary. Foggy light orange with a fine white ring and wisps. Sweet and sour flavour: tingly fruity notes of strawberry, pineapple, and white grape. A touch too sweet. Medium body, high carbonation, sweet and clean finish.

clear dark orange, smooth white head. aroma is sour, slightly sweet, faint hop character. flavor is sour, some marcipan like sweetness, bretty dryness.

0.33 l bottle from Alko. Golden to orange color. The aroma and flavor is sweetish, tart, fruity and slightly acidic with notes of grapefruit and apple. Pleasant to drink but has no complexity of a true gueuze.

draft at La Becasse in Brussels - Pours clear gold with a bubbly two finger white head and good alcing. It has a light aroma of malt and lambic funk. The taste is surprisingly sweet for a gueuze with the wild yeast taking a back seat. It’s definitely there though. This light to medium bodied brew is very refreshing.
