33 cl. bottle sampled @ Kulminator: A: clear golden with a white head S: apples, slightly floral & sweet, slightly tart lemons T: taste follows suit, apple juice mixed with sweet slightly tart lemons, touch floral with a gueuze buried underneath, touch artificial sweetener, slightly sweet barnyard & yeast – it is not exactly sweet but it isn’t sour either really, it is basically a bit like a middling gauze mixed with sweet slightly tart lemons & a splash of apple juice – a pointless compromises really which shuts out most groups which might have been interested – still too sweat four a sourhead – B: medium

Somewhat unclear orange amber appearance, with a bubbly white head. Gueuze with a lot of apple which is a lot sweeter than it is sour. It’s more like an apple cider. Thirsty quenching enough, but poor as a gueuze. Carbo is too low.

An impressive traditionally brewed Gueuze Lambic by, they say, the world’s oldest lambic brewery. Right balance of sourness, authentic taste - a very surprising product indeed; what a surprise!. spontaneous fermentation all right, the authentic way.

24 karat pour with deeper hues of copper at its core and a small ivory cap. Sweeter than expected but still showed some traditional funk, mustiness, barnyard, hay, acidity, and sourness. Drinkable but not overly complex.

37.5 cl bottle from ABC Leuven. Rather decent gueuze-like nose, horse blanket, lemon rest, leather, dust. Not big time, but definitely it’s the main element. A touch of caramel malt beneath. Orange-gold, clear, with a high, fine head. Quite sweet, but with a nice sour tang as well, candi / brown sugar, some leather. Lambic character still there but a bit muted by the sweetness. Lemon, green apple, caramel. Not great, but possibly the best sweetened gueuze I can remember drinking. Soft but persistent carbonation. Decent. Refreshing.

Bottle, corked and caged, 375 ml, poured into a tulip glass at home. ABV 5% Golden orange colour on the body, one finger og white, froathy head on top. Low retention for the most part, leaves foam islands on the beer’s surface. Tiny bubbles are making their way upwards. Fruity aroma, white grapes, a bit of sweet caramel, lots of sugar. Good taste, biting sourness at first, finishes with a nicely balanced taste between sour and sweet. Wine-y, white sour grapes., not so much sugar as I expected form the aroma. Medium thin body, fizzy carbonation. Very dry palate. Pretty okay gueuze.

37,5 cl flaske, 5 %, købt i Den Belgiske Ølbutik, 23. august 2013. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: AUG 18, 2013 Bottle split at JF’s, cheers James, 17/08/13. Lightly hazed golden with a thin off white swirl and edgeing. Nose is lemon rind, damp wood, touch musty, sugars, light oxidised notes. Taste is soured citric fruits, lemon rind, wood, earthy, light funk. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finish. Adequate gueze, light sour notes, could do with a bit more oomph on the tarteometer!

37,5cl bottle in good company. Pours a copper colour with a thin white head. Fruity and sour aroma. Medium Carbonation. The flavour starts light bitter, turning to a sweet and sour combination that is quite good. Dry and acid aftertaste.
