bierkoning (4716), La Tropica, Netherlands Aug 26, 2008 Bottle. Cassis in the aroma.Sugary sweet flavor with cassis and red berries. Some aspartame bitterness in the aftertaste, next to the sugar. Could be worse. tomer (167), Israel Aug 24, 2008 0.25L bottle, murky red to purple colour, strong carbonation, aroma is a melange of berry flavours that seem over ripe, taste is of candied fruits with some light sourness that linger on to a dry finish. Not the best of lambics. sayravai (3045), Helsinki, Finland Aug 23, 2008 (Bottled) Murky blue-brownish red with a medium, pink head. Sweetish aroma of boysenberries and blackcurrants. Boysenberry-strawberry-raspberry flavor with some sweet sugar - yet not cloying. Some dry and astringent cherry stone in the finish, plus some lambic sourness in the background. Light to medium body with quite high carbonation. Not that bad in the lemonade lambic category, but sweetened with saccharine :(. Mes_and_Sim (4320), Highgate, Greater London, England Aug 23, 2008 A Mes rate: bottle from The Rake. A very thick and cloudy dark red. Decent fruit syrup like mixed berry juice. Artificial obviously but nice enough. Very fruits of the Forrest indeed. Some faint lambic sourness. It’s actually not bad you know. JK54B (291), Finland Aug 21, 2008 Strong blackcurrant in the nose. Pale reddish head. Hazy reddish colur. Sweet taste with dominating blackcurrant.
