Pint in the Bricklayers Arms, Putney. Not a great Mild - went flat very quickly, and looks the colour of cola. I found it to be rather watery and low on hops. The low AVB makes it quite quafable, but it isn’t a memorable pint.

Scopey (12248) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 9, 2016
Cask at the Royal Albert, New Cross. It pours clear dark brown with a light tan head. The aroma is brown bread, fruit cake, malt loaf and toasted malts. The taste is mellow, rich, toasted malt, brown bread, touch of dried fruits, big malt loaf character and some caramel. Light body and soft carbonation. Pretty OK for the style, but I was hoping for a touch more oomph.

Cask conditioned at Headington Beer Festival #14, Masons Arms, Headington, Oxford. Dark brown with tan head. I couldn’t believe that I had never come across this beer before, a good example of a northern mild, richly roasted malt lead beer with a light background bitterness, hints of fruitiness. Good stuff.
