A mid amber orange coloured beer with a frothy, but weak white head. A light fruity and malty aroma, raisiny and caramel. Dry mouthfeel. The taste starts off with a dry malty flavour with caramel and biscuits, this is then followed by a slightly sweeter raisiny taste that is in turn followed by a bitter, pithy hop flavour, citrusy and grassy. The hoppiness lasts into a long finish.

50cl bottle from Tesco, Aldershot. Amber with a tight white head; grassy malt aroma; caramel taste with some grain; and a pleasant bitterness to follow, leaving a dry toasty finish. A satisfying Yorkshire bitter.

Bottle from Tesco, Watford. Poured a clear copper, with a dense white head. Fruity aroma, with some flat malt and boiled sweets. Flavours were somewhat fake; cream soda, bitter peal and brown sugar. Finish was resin, pine and candy sugar.

Appearance: Clear amber with finger thick ivory head. Aroma: Toffee, caramel, slight raisin, citrus, wheat, bready malt and fruity. Taste: Low sourness, low/medium sweetness and bitterness. Palate: Medium thick grainy texture and body, average carbonation, lingering quite dry, burnt malty, citrus, peppery, fruity bitter finish after an initial gentle sweetness. Comments: Good and lace but quite a bitter end.

Bottle, Booths Penrith. Lemon and biscuit aroma initially, zesty and effervescent palate but its the soft melon finish that I really love about this amber coloured beer. Really enjoyed this.

Cask. Slightly cloudy golden ale with a thick white head. Nose is citrus, oranges, tangerines and grapefruit. Quite creamy and full in the mouth. Imparting citrus flavours - lots of grapefruit and lemon - and a heavy bitter ZING in the finish. Biscuity malt swimming throughout the beer. Solid, good bitter.
