Got a slightly old bottle so it didn’t taste totally fresh but you could tell something good was behind it all. Not as malty at first as I thought and starts a little fizzy, smooths out and the various flavors hit you in different parts of the drink. I’d like to try the cask version. Serving: Bottle

honey dancing velvet cascade of nectar soars past wisp of foam. Touch of bitterness in flavour balanced by sweetness. Good mouthfeel. Sweetness gets a bit much by end of bottle though.

0.5l bottle. Deep golden/orange body, white head. Aroma of bread, caramel abd floral hops. Taste of bread, grains, caramel and a nice amount of floral hops. Quite bitter and effervescent. Nice.

Pours a clear orange with a full rocky off white head. Grass and floral aroma. Taste is sweet pale malt, caramel, grassy grain, and mild hop bitterness. Good traditional, English session ale.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized off-white colored bubbles that were very long lasting and left behind a strongly carbonated transparent dark orange colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The mild aroma was musty and mild wheat. The thick mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of bitter mild rye mild wheat and bread dough. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

Doesn’t assault the palate the way some of my favorite beers do, but the quality of the craft here-beginning with the selection of ingredients-makes this a special beer.

500ml bottle from Sainsburys, as part of my phase of revisiting classic English ales. Pours amber. Nice peppery hops, light earthy malts. Standard old school pale, but rather uninspiring.

Very nice. Aroma is toffee, grain, fresh ale, malt. Flavor is a splendid blend of the nose qualities, bitter, sweet, tang, burnt sugar. Fairly long finish with the burnt sugar and bitter. Even with this abv, still a little warmth.

Bottle, shared. Clear darkish amber, brief off-white head. Earthy, caramelly, fruity aroma. Sweet fruity flavour and full mouthfeel with mellow-prickly carbonation. Almost sticky sweet, but pleasantly so. Excellent balance, excellent drinkability. Very nice!
