Bottle. High creamy and lasting white head. Clear amber body. Malt honey caramel lemon aroma. The hops bitterness is surprisingly strong and pleasant. Apart from that the beer has a solid malt base with notes of grass. Quite tasty. Low carbonation. Long bitter finish.

I don’t think there is a redeeming feature in this beer that I can find. The bready yeasty aroma translates into a bready yeasty wet blanket mouthful. The bitterness is all point and tart. Lacks real body and length. Cruel but for me this missed so many things. I’m sure that my pain is someone’s pleasure though and this has a lot of fans.

From 500ml bottle. Chestnut brown with nice white head. Light aroma with oats and nuts. Good balance of tastes: medium bitterness, hint of sweetness. Medium long finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at KØ14. Lagery aroma. Clear dark copper colour. Small frothy white head. The flavour has a dry hoppy note, a little chalk. Soy finish.

From the bottle marked L2306-09:25. It pours a basic light copper amber color with an off-white head that sticks around. Lacing. The aroma is like so many Bitters from the UK with its toasted caramel malt character and clean hop bite. Sweet and balanced. It has to be the water. The mouthfeel falls into the light to medium territory with a definite smooth character. The taste is very British with its sweet toasted malt character, jolly good British sugar, and modest bitter finish.

Bottle from SuperValu, Longford [300514]
Golden amber, clear, big frothy white head, good lacing
Aroma of quite pungent spicy hops, soft citrus, soft sweet pale malts
Taste of bitter spicy hops, bit peppery, marmalade malts, soft yeast, dab of citrus zest, cereal, caramel malts, quite complex
Palate - soft carb, medium body, bitter sweet marmalade malts, strong spicy hop that tingles throughout the mouth. Finish of lingering bitter spicy hops, earthy, zest, cereal, pleasant linger.
Overall - Surprised that the bottled version is lower than the cask, usually it’s the other way around. Had a bottle of this years ago before I was rating and wasn’t that impressed. This was very good and had that characteristic pungent spicy hop on the palate. I’ll certainly be picking this up again when I’m next in SuperValu

Flaske 0,5l fra Kilpishalli. Koseøl i heimen. Gyldenbrun. Høyt tett skum som varer lenge. Litt lacing. God - litt søt - fruktaroma. Aprikos. Smaken det samme med innslag av mandler. Litt tørr ettersmak.

Pours a somewhat cloudy copper with a nice white head that leaves quite a bit of lace. Aroma is full of malt, with caramel and bread notes, and some floral and earthy hops. Flavour begins somewhat sweet with some caramel and citrus notes, then becomes quite bitter. Quite a bit of character to this one.
