COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rivet whets your sensors with Caramel malts and Willamette hops to produce a more colorful and flavorful version of its English relatives – the bitter clan. Its toffee sweetness and mild bitterness make rivet the perfect complement to backyard barbecues and burgers.

I honestly didn’t think this beer was all that great. It had a slightly bitter and off flavor. It’s a sweeter beer but a little weird, maybe in an English way.

On tap at the brewpub. It poured a clear copper color with an off-white head. The aroma was of caramel, malts and hops. The taste was similar to the aroma with more caramel, toffee, hops and malts. Tasty.

This is a great Irish ale. It is not hoppy, and it is smooth and easy to drink.

Draft at the source. Clear amber with an off-white head. Aroma is malty, but mild. Taste is caramel, toffee, and mild malt. Finish is mildly sweet and has a slight bitterness.

Rating #1218 - 05.08.2014 On tap @revolutionyeg. Nice amber/orange colour with a decent white/tan foam with medium retention. Aroma is sweet, malty. Taste is very strong, malty, and a hint of toffee. Finish is smooth if uninspired.

Not the biggest fan of this one but to be fair I’ve drank a lot of different beers tonight.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a deep red with a thin off white head. Aroma is nonexistent. Taste is quite bland on the tongue. Has a bit of caramel on the tongue. The finish is kind of weak. Not impressed.

Draft that pours semi cloudy red color with minimal white head. Aroma of malt and caramel malts and a minimal hop base. The flavor is mild to medium caramel mslt base. A little more pronounced hop flavor but still quite mild. Overall just a decent red ale.

Aroma: Rich caramel, nougat malts; a little butter; hops are a little spicy. Appearance: Hazy copper red pour with a foamy tan head that settles into a solid skin. Flavor: Matches the nose with a rich malt presence touched by a bit of butter; finish is slightly spicy and bitter. Palate: Medium body, sticky texture, very soft carbonation, slightly bitter finish. Overall: A solid Irish red. Worth a go if you have a few extra bucks.

2oz taster on tap, at HopCat Broad Ripple. Clear orange color. Thin off-white head, leaving good thicker lace. Toasty malt, some orange citrusy hop. Light to moderate bitter, light to moderate sweet. Medium body. Smooth, kind of soft, sort of creamy lighter carbonation. Really nice, balanced, complex irish ale.
