COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Another year round favorite, Frist Street Wheat is an unfiltered wheat beer bursting with unique flavors. You may pick up hints of clove, banana and even a little vanilla. Cloudier than our other beers because it is unfiltered, our First Street Wheat’s low bitterness level allows all its flavors to shine.

Bottle purchased at the brewery. Beer labeled as "First Street Wheat". Pours a hazy golden color with nice white head. Banana, clove, yeasty, wheat aromas. Very carbonated, bubbly mouthfeel. Wheat, yeast flavors. The last time that I tried this beer, I gave it a really poor rating. This time, it is definitely better, however, it still is kind of missing the german hefe style.

Pretty terrible hefe weizen. Nice to look at, pleasant citrusy aroma, but the flavor is unbelievably tart with a stale aftertaste. Tried with Jess, Jennie and Jason at the Hermann Oktoberfest.

bottled. pours yellow orange with a small off-white head. aromas of grass, yeast and lemon peel. sour and biting. light bodied, a long and lasting lemony bit on the tongue. decent wheat.

12oz bottle (not sure if it is fresh). Dark golden color, slick appearance to the hue with medium clarity. Small head fades quickly. Aroma has the requisite banana esters. Sweet smelling, some pear esters as well. Flavor is a little flatter and a little mineral. Decent hefe, a little off on the flavor, needs some life to it.

It poured a golden color with a white head. The aroma was of a cereal base. The flavor was a hoppy bitterness. Not a bad German Hefeweizen.

Bottle. Poured a hazy yellow color with a nice two finger white head that did retain throughout the entire beer. Aroma was caramel, toffee, yeast and bread. Flavor was citrus, earthy flavors, and banana. Decent beer.

Bottle @ home, courtesy of gooovikings. Medium to high cloudiness, yellow-orange appearance with a lively orangish white head. Fairly potent clove and somewhat lesser banana aromas with a bit of spicy yeast and wheat. Fairly spicy, yeasty, medium clove, light banana, a touch tart wheat ale flavor with a fairly dry finish. Slightly bready, yeasty aftertaste.

Sample from a 12 oz. bottle at St. Louis Microfest 2011. Pours a cloudy yellow-gold color with a small white head. Aroma of banana, clove, wheat, and sweet bready malts. Flavor follows suit, and the notes really pop well. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a smooth, bready mouthfeel and dry finish. Nice hefe.

bottle crack allowed aroma to escape of ugly sewer stank and pour confirms. this fades to cleaner albeit metallic profile, light floral come to light then move onward. appearance is lightly hazed deeper gold, great spongey head. flavor is nutty, toasty malt; pleasant, but devoid of yeast esters. perhaps closer to a strange amber ale then a real hefe or even american wheat.

Tap at the brewpub as First Street Wheat. The body was a little dark for the style. The color was dark amber to near copper. There was a clove and banana scent to this one. Bananas and clove in the taste. There was also some spice in the finish. Good for the style.
