Appearance: Pours a hazy, amber-orange body with a short-lived, fizzy, whitish head.
Smell: All of the usual hefe suspects present: tangy wheat, banana, and citrus, though what really stands out is the sharp clove note.
Taste: The tangy, lightly sweet taste of malted wheat. Light hints of banana and citrus followed by a good pop of clove. Spicy hops with a light bitterness. Some sourish, chalky yeast in the later half of the drink. Finishes dry and quite crisp with lingering clove taste.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Moderate carbonation.
Drinkability: A pleasant, adequate little hefe from Tin Mill.

Semi hazy yellow, smallish white head. Rather nice banana phenolic aroma, subtle to moderate clove. Slightly sweet, moderate grainy flavor, rather wheaty with slightly sour finish. Solid.

Pour is a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is very yeasty with seom banana and spice. Flavor is a decent helping of cloves followed by some banana and creamy vanilla. This ia quite a tasty beer made right here in MO.

Another solid beer from this great little brewpub. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. The aroma has lots of sweet banana and very rich wheat malt that reminds me in a big way of Dancing Man from New Glarus. Medium body that’s more grainy than expected with a good amount of carbonation. Surprisingly enough the flavor starts out dry with grainy wheat and very underscored dry esters ~ the taste is very nice, but nothing like Dancing Man. The finish has some grassy esters and wheat. A very good example of the style.

Lovely spice nose, with hints of clove and nutmeg. Hazy, cereal maltiness, that has some bold flavor, remains very clean with a menthol and eucalyptus like quality in the finish.

UPDATED: JAN 30, 2010 A very accessible interpretation. Very drinkable. Not a lot of the typical hefe character, but nice none the less.

Trade from theisti - Thanks! Cloudy brownish orange, very thin head. Very toasty, almost rye-ish aroma. Very little wheat character in the aroma, nor is there much in the flavor. Oddly sweet, crackerish flavor, and a bready, slightly sweet finish. Actually pretty tasty, if lacking much wheat flavor.

12 ounce bottle from theisti.
Pour is light amber with some white head. An bunch of little particles floating around.
The aroma smells like corn and hops. Not banana. Not clove.
The flavor reminds me of a cream ale. Might even make a decent cream ale. Very gainy with noble hop character.
Medium body. High carbonation. Semi-sweet finish.
No hefeweizen character here at all.

Bottle courtesy of theisti. Pours a hazy gold with a ton of fine, suspended sediment and a creamy, frothy, off-white head. The nose is a solid wheat with yeasty esters of banana and light citrus. Light to medium-bodied and wheaty with a clean lightly dry finish. The flavor follows the nose completely: wheat, light banana and citrus. A decent interpretation of the style; not bad at all. Thanks, Tim!
