Draught at the brewery. Light amber beer has thick, sturdy white head. Nose is more grainy than sweet or malty. Flavor is lightly sweet with a nice, moderate bitterness for balance. Tasty and a little rough in a good way.

STL microfest. Pours orange / gold with a small tan head. The aroma has rich malt, full caramel and some dryness as well. Medium body that is clean, dry and crisp with light prickly carbonation. The flavor starts with grainy caramel, spiciness and a dryness that different than normal for the style. The finish is clean, crisp and short lived. A very nice maibock.

Poured a clear amber color with a barely one-finger tall white head. No real lacing. The initial aroma surprised me with a tiny blast of pine. Piney hops or Pine-Sol? It was hard to tell, but it was nice to see these folks at least trying. Beyond that it settles into a fairly pedestrian malt, caramel and nut blend on the nose. The flavor is fine, nothing exciting here, just lots of caramelly malts diffused with some light hints of hops and some cedar? Average mouthfeel. Like going to a microbrewery, having this beer with a cheeseburger and fries and then forgetting what it ever tasted like, this beer was just kind of there. Not bad, very drinkable.

UPDATED: JAN 30, 2010 Amber color in the glass, light white head. Very nice aroma and tasty hop flavor. Very balanced and easy to drink. Their best effort so far, IMO.

12 oz bottle purchased from brewery during Oktoberfest. Amber pour with a medium white head. Aroma of caramel, a little fruit and a very slight hop. Palate starts off with sweet malt and is followed by hops and a grainy taste. A pretty drinkable beer.

UPDATED: SEP 27, 2007 nice small head and a great golden amber color. i can smell the hops and a slight amount of the malt but it’s not too sweet. quite a great taste honestly. the hops are there but they get evened out by the malt. it’s not heavy on the palate and there’s a slight bitter taste at the end as well.
