Draft at Barley Oak. Dark maroon color, small tan edge head. Aroma of Starbucks. Taste is pure coffee, little carbonation.

Can - Roast malts and light chocolate. Jet black with a thin beige head. Roast malts, chocolate and light coffee notes. Although the coffee isn’t prevalent and as big as other beers, this ones restraint is nice and well balanced.

Dark in the glass. The beer starts smooth, nicely malty, but a bit watery in the beginning. The mainpart is dry, smooth and nice roasted. In the aftertaste the beer gets smooth, but not deep. --> Nice brew, but not as deep and roasted as expected! --> 12/12/11/11

It is a porter that pours dark brown to almost black with a slight hint of crimson. It has a very light head of creamy beige foam. The aroma is fully of mocha, chocolates and coffee. The flavor is consistent with the smell. Nice solid coffee and chocolate flavors. It is mildly carbonated with a smooth full mouthfeel. The finish is dry and crisp with a mild bitterness. The beer grain build is that of 2 row, pale ale, chocolate, coffee and black malts. The hops are East Kent Goldings and Northern Brewer. And it is also brewed with New Orleans Coffee Company mocha and french roast coffee. The IBU is 35 Serving type: can

Catching up on some old ratings from Untappd -- First rated on 17 Jan 2014. Not bad, also not amazing.

Nice coffee aroma here, some of which carries over to the taste. Malt-forward as coffee & chocolate malts take center stage. Tasty, but nothing special.

I’m not the biggest fan of beer from a can. More of a chocolate aroma I reckon. Smooth drink, a bit sweet for me though.

Can thanks to Lewis. Pours a clear amber brown with a tan head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has notes of earthy sweet dark grains with just a hint of bitter coffee lying underneath. Flavor has sweet dark grains with only a hint of earthy coffee.
