2/27/16. On tap at The Bulldog, Jackson. Parade Ground. Ground Coffee. Get it?! Haha! They probably didnít do that on purpose. Anyway. What? So yeah, on tap. Black pour with a small tan head. Mild coffee aroma, hints of chocolate, caramel, cream, doughy. Okay flavor, rough coffee, church basement coffee, dark chocolate, cream, doughy. Eh.

On tap at Ole Saint. Pours a dark ruby brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is roast, cocoa, brownie. Thick mouth, roasted malt, dark chocolate, light dry finish, very good.

Sampled at the SCCCT event at Friendship Brewery. It poured an amber / brown color with a tan head. The aroma was of earth, dark grains and a touch of coffee. The taste was similar to the aroma with more dark grains and coffee. Tasty.

can @ Double Shoppe / Ocean Springs MS --- Aroma of roasted malt and chocolate. Clear very dark mahogany brown color, long-lasting 2" ivory head, streaks of lace. Taste is lightly roasted malt that moves through a barely carbonated swallow to chocolate and mild hops in a long smooth finish. A really solid porter (even though I donít taste coffee here). Recommended.

Can. Pours deep, dark brown. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malts, coffee, and faint caramel. Flavor is chocolate forward with some lactose/caramel sweetness, and faint coffee. Was worried when there was no fizz when the can was opened and as expected, the beer was undercarbed and practically flat; unfortunate. Medium body.

Pours dark black with a small beige head. Smells strongly of coffee. Taste is coffee, subtle roast and chocolate. Medium-bodied with smooth texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Tin Roof Parade Ground Coffee Porter finishes with smooth coffee notes.

Can at home. Pours brown with a small, frothy beige head, short retention with spare lacing. Aroma is herbal, earthy, and grassy hops, coffee and roast malt. Flavor is earthy coffee, herbal and minty hops, light bitterness, roast malt and a dry finish. Medium body and light carbonation.

Nice color (looks like itís mountain grown) and mouth feel. Faint coffee and nuttiness (not a lot of coffee though). Very clean finish. Not sweet, but not bitter either. A good choice for someone who is new to dark beers.

Can:   Dar brown, thin frothy sandy head, little lacing.   Very faint roasted malt nose, seems a bit lactic.   Rather tame on the tongue, a bit watered down roastiness with a very soft tartness to it.   Perhaps I get some faint coffee?   Body and mouthfeel are average.   Its a bit odd, seems like a decent maltiness but its not very roasty or coffee oriented.   Its clean, but way too soft, with a decent maltiness at least.

Deep brown pour. Thick tan head. The nose is quite roasty and laden with coffee. Has a fairly light chocolate note through the middle and a bit of herbal flavour.
