2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
12 oz can. - Pours hazy golden yellow with thin white head. It’s hard to detect "watermelon." However, it’s got a sweetish aroma of "fruit" along with a plain bread/yeasty aroma. I honestly get more green grape than I do watermelon. The flavors are of unmistakable watermelon RIND and a mild roasted malt. Smooth and drinkable.... it’s a fruit beer so I expected as much. I’d give this to a Bud Light drinker wanting to try a new beer, but I’d hide it in the back of the fridge for a beer connoisseur. A summer novelty, but it’s not bad.

Thanks to my brother for sharing this can over Labor Day. Hazy golden-brown color with a white head. The aroma is a mix of watermelon and wheat - imagine that. The flavor is a bit different. I get some watermelon notes but there is not too much sweetness. More of a dry, lightly tart watermelon. There is also a ton of biscuit and wheat malt notes in there. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tin Roof Watermelon Wheat has a thick, white, soapy head, and a hazy, orange-yellow appearance, which clouds up even more when the bottom of the can is swished and poured in. There are some bubble streams and a bit of thin lacing left behind. The aroma is of sweet watermelon and white bread, and the flavor is of watermelon, watermelon seeds, watermelon rind, rye spice, white wheat bread, hop bitterness, and an underlying white corn grit aspect. Mouthfeel is medium and vegetable slimy, and Tin Roof Watermelon Wheat finishes dry, refreshing, easy drinking, and weird. This oddity is interesting, at least. RJT
