Bottle from Central City Liquor Store, Surrey
Hazy golden color, small head. Aroma of malt, caramel and some vegetables. Caramel flavor, mild, with a hint of cabbage and vegetables again, luckily quite low; correct bitterness.
Not bad, but with minor flaws.

Oakes (10941) - Savusavu, FIJI ISLANDS - JAN 15, 2006
Light bronze with a slight haze. Bready, crackerlike aroma. The flavour is quite toasty malt character with woody, cheesy (ossau-iraty) notes. Not really an ESB due to lack of hops but a pretty tasty beer, like an English strong with a minerally finish. (Also, should be noted this is quite a bit different from the last time we saw this one in bottles, back in the late ’90s)

Lubiere (8247) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 28, 2005
Another spoilt beauty. Hazy golden ale with a thick white head. Sour diacetyl aroma. In mouth, the light lactic acid with the butterscotch makes this unpleasant, lemony. Light hops notes.

JoeMcPhee (7625) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 15, 2006
650 ml bomber. Nice amber colour under a thick tight white head. Aroma is quite fruity and malty. Dark plum and black cherry fruits mix with sweet toasted malts and a whiff of alcohol. Flavour shows a bit of toffee, brown sugar, and maybe a touch of diacetyl in the mouth. Not really all that hoppy or bitter, but still drinkable.

DuffMan (5199) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - APR 15, 2006
Slightly hazy orange amber, biscuity sweet aroma, slightly fruity. Mostly malty palate, with a medium bitter finish. I liked it and thought it was a decent attempt at the style.

presario (4406) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 12, 2005
650ml bottle. Amber to copper colour. Long lasting carved head. Not much for an aroma, light malt. Strong malt body with hops that build through the glass, getting stronger with each drink. Enjoyable.

reebtogi (3267) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - APR 16, 2012
650ml bottle pours a golden orange color with a finger of white head that has decent retention and leaves some thin spotty lacing. Aroma is cereal grains with some floral and citrus notes. Taste is light malty sweet with a bold citrus hop bitterness in the finish. Light to medium body and pleasing carbonation for a nice tingle on the palate. Very well done English style bitter.

OhioDad (2493) - Hilliard, Ohio, USA - NOV 21, 2005
22oz bottle from a trade with presario - Thanks Trevor! - Pours amber with a short white head that fades quick but laces. Aroma is of light malts and some floral hops. Flavor is grainy, a bit of bread and some brief hops on the finish. Palate is medium bodied and quite drinkable. Nothing great about this beer but it is drinkable and a little better than average.

650ml brown bottle. Light orange tone, small but stable white head. Aroma is faintly malty, slight floral notes with a hint of butterscotch. Flavour is quite malty, toasted malts, slight caramel notes. Citrus-y (light grapefruit) hop presence in the finish. Medium body with light carbonation.
