Probably the countries favourite word, Cwtch is our Welsh Red Ale. The complex malt base compliments its big hop flavours.

Bottle 33cl. Clear medium amber, good two finger frothy off-white head, slowly diminishing, light lacing; strong fruity nose, grapefruit, orange, malty, grass; taste medium bitter and light sweet, fruity; light to medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, lingering dry bitter aftertaste, herbal notes; not very red but a nice ale anyway.

In a bottle. Malty aroma with a hint of citrus. Rich flavour with tropical fruit salad hops & quite a bitter finish for a red ale. An excellent session sup-er. Rated by BrewTom

Sweet peachy, haylike aroma. Clear, brown/red colour with a nice foamy slightly off-white head. Flavours are rich but subtile. Full of copperlike, yoghurt, tulips and juniperberries and grassyness. Nice round, little bitter aftertaste. Great beer!

BBE Apr 2016 - Pours clear dark copper orange with a massive foamy head. Aroma of malts, caramel, hints of toffee, hops and grass. Taste is smooth, crisp and malty with some caramel, hops, citrus, pine and fruits. Finish is smooth, carbonated and slightly hoppy with some caramely maltiness. Okay, quite smooth.

Origin: Tap. Vessel: Stange. Supplier: Spitfire (Bristol). Fruity nose. Pours a translucent gold. Floral hints battle bitterness. Tight body. Very drinkable.

Cloudy reddish body and large thick two fingered head. Very complex palate, way too much going on in there, tasted of a strong IPA, much stronger than it’s alcohol content suggests, aftertaste overbearing. All in all an ale that tries too hard.

330 ml bottle from Hot Numbers Coffee, Cambridge. Amber, almost clear, with a slight cloud of off-white head. Pine, bubblegum, slight vinous notes, mango, forest floor aroma. Taste is mostly sweet with just enough bitterness to give it balance. The bitterness increases a bit toward the finish, with a final hit of apple-skin sourness. An excellent choice for Champion Beer of Britain, and everything an amber beer should be.
