COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Probably the countries favourite word, Cwtch is our Welsh Red Ale. The complex malt base compliments its big hop flavours.

Pours cloudy red, with thick foam head, rather bland aroma and flavour, doesn’t excite me.

At Great British Beer Festival 2015, Day 1. Clear copper/amber beer with a nice beige head. Fruity aroma, grassy, earthy, dark bread. Earthy floral flavor, grassy hops, herbal, grapes, some hay. Quite ok.

A little tobacco on the nose as well. Flavour is slightly nutty bready malts, semi crisp, fruity hop, mango and Mellon. Palate is medium light, light grains, nice cask condition, drying in the finish. A deserving champion beer of Britain

I can taste why it may have won the Champion Beer of Britain, but just didn’t do enough for me to warrant it. Caramel, smooth & creamy comes to mind, but much like some others.

Pours dark amber, one-finger beige head, with relatively high carbonation from the bottle. Huge aroma of mango, grapefruit, resin, burnt toffee. Taste is then surprisingly dry, with strong bittering. Malt toasts and toffee comes out. Complex but balanced. Reputation deserved.

Cask at the Bat. Vibrant russet colour. Strong backbone with a husky mouthfeel which leads to some unraveling fruity notes. An obvious crowd please for both the craft and CAMRA crowds. Very good.
