A unique schizophrenic beer where you’ll face off against floral hoppy flavours up front, leading into a dry spicy bitterness on the back. Need something a bit different to wake up your taste buds? It’s time to get a FUBAR.

Cask conditioned handpump Southampton Arms London 30/10/12. A golden coloured beer with a white bubbly head. A lightly hoppy nose which is quite restrained really. Grapefruit notes in the mouth. Decent sharpish bitterness. A pretty good tasty beer.

24/V/15 - 33cl bottle @ LIBF (Leuven) - BB: n/a (2015-723) Thanks to the Belgian (and Dutch, and...) RB crew for sharing today’s beers!

Clear orange beer, small aery off-white head. Aroma: malty, fruity hops, some overripe fruits, sweet, bit malty. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: watery, bit hoppy, very light, some citrus, grains. Aftertaste: bit hoppy, grassy, weird touch, dry, bitter finish.

.25L pour from a room-temp cask into a tiny nonic pint glass. Pale yellow and a little hazy with a creamy white head. Medium-to-light body and super creamy. Tastes like a nitro, honestly. Nose is fairly muted. Not getting much there, good or bad. Tastes is great, though. Pretty light, but smooth and enjoyable. A little biscuit and citrus intermixing. The definition of a drinkable beer.

15cl sample from bottle at the Leuven Innovation Beer Festival (25 V 2015). Nice yellow to gold ale with lots of hops. Some citrus fruits and pepper notes are present too. The taste is lovely bitter with some subtle spices. However, the finish is very short. Too bad! But this FUBAR stil is a very pleasant drink.
