A collaboration brew with Glyn Roberts (The Rake Bar), Hadouken is our Amplified IPA. A dedication to the classic finishing move from one of our favourite video games from back in the 90’s. Massively hopped with a combo of 3 American varieties.

From tap at villevalla Pub. Clear yellow with white head. Aroma of fruits, mango, citrus and tropical fruits. Taste similar with a bit passionfruit as well. Too little bitterness to be fullt enjoyable

Bottle from CBB. Aroma: White grapefruit, mikan, passionfruit, green mango, very floral and herbal (almost spicey). Palate: Light-medium body. Flavor: Blend of grapfruit, mikan, passion fruit in equal portions, yeast. Finishes with light fruit pith bitterness. Comment: Brilliantly intense sour tropical fruit aroma and flavor with near perfect balance and very light bittering for an IPA so that it finishes in a rather accessible way. Superb lighter bodied, full-flavor style.

Bottled, 330ml from Tebay Services, Orton, Cumbria. Gold with white head. This proved to be a fresh, hoppy, bright IPA of the American type. Fruity hop notes to the fore, tropical, pineapple with a touch of sweetness. Good malty depth, rich and rewarding. Delicious.

At home. Bottle courtesy of Mrk. Murky amber, greyish offwhite head. Sweet rye, honey, tea, biscuits, grassy, lemon peel, dried apricots. Medium sweet, medium bitter. Medium body, light carbonation, alcoholic spike, chalky texture, fruity sweet finish. Hops have gone up in the air, bottle passed its sell by date, still quite ok but I imagine it’s supposed to be very different.

Bottle shared thanks to Mrk. Clear dark golden with off white head. Lots of tropical fruits, caramel, light onions, biscuits, toffee, soft citrus notes towards the finish with light cardboard. Quite sweet and under medium bitter. Medium bodied with slick feel. Nice, but a bit old, would love to try this fresh.

Sinaasappel.

33cl bottle. Hazy pale golden colour with a thin off-white head that turns into a persistent lacing. Citrus, grapefruit, pine and honey in the aroma. Average carbonation and medium body. Taste is bitter with piny and fruity notes. Long dry and bitter finish. Overall, a good beer with a bit too much pine.

Bottle from Craftissimo at PP with Catan. Hazy muddy golden color very bright floral hoppy aroma - clover honey, nice. Taste follows - bright citrus fruitiness that's quite sweet but nicely balanced. Light palate with a good crisp carbonation and a lasting bitter booziness. Really good honey-floral-malt IPA. Would get again for sure.

Drank w Matt after stereo audition and NLNL. Pitch black pour, thin tan head w sudsy bubbles. Smells of herbal bitter, sharp chocolate and dessert wine, booze, doughy spiced malt. Taste is sharp, milk chocolate, spicy malty finish. Body is thick, slick, end is kind of chewy, chocolate. Good, nice to have the spiced bready malt complemented by chocolate, but not super special.
