A collaboration brew with Glyn Roberts (The Rake Bar), Hadouken is our Amplified IPA. A dedication to the classic finishing move from one of our favourite video games from back in the 90’s. Massively hopped with a combo of 3 American varieties.

Golden beer with a strong hop aroma. Strong hop in the flavour but it’s surprisingly sweet. Very crisp and has a noce hoppy finish.

Butelka 33cl. USTA : delikatnie nasycone. Piwo ma średnio gęstą konsystencje. Średnio słodkie i umiarkowanie gorzkie. Dobrze skomponowane. W posmaku gorycz wygrywa. ODCZUCIA : dobre piwo, które niczego nie urywa. Graficznie świetne a w smaku nie ma tragedii. OK. OCENA : smak : 7/10 pijalność : 7/10 styl : 0

330 ml bottle from Gradi Plato. Gorgeous dark sunrise orange, pretty clear, with a small, creamy and persistent off white head. Very intense and fruity nose, literally filling all the room. Pretty "American" aroma, but not in the best possible way: lots of caramel, soapy/old hops, a hint of balsamic/herbal notes, mild yoghurt presence. Slightly better in the mouth, but the taste pretty much follow suite. Slightly astringent, solid bitterness, sticky caramel maltiness. Resinous and again balsamic/herbal aftertaste. Average carbonation, medium body, slightly oily texture. If the bottle was unlabeled, I would have guessed that it was a 6+ months old American DIPA which didn’t travel too well. But for a European version with a BB date of June 2015, I was expecting something much better. So so.

Bottle @ barely legal tasting room . Pours dark amber , small but resistant white foam . Smell is pine up front , backed up with amarillo ( ? )-like scents . Smells a bit old, a few months perhaps, since it has been purchased in Belgium ( so count in shipping and shelves ) . Taste is So damn nice ! Bitter up front, fruity, turns a bit herbal ( yet even I really like it and I hate herbal-tastes usually ) It has got the exact amount of malts i’d like in a IIPA ( why is this not IIPA , actually ? ) And perfect carbo and body . Aftertaste is long, but not super intense ( not what certain people would call over the top / exactly like a IIPA should finish , nice and long ) . Pine doesn’t reflect even remotely as much in the taste as it does in the scent . Easy drinkable . Waaw , pretty neat !

On tap at Henrik Øl og Vinstove, September 2014. Dark amber with a small head. Aroma and taste of resin, grapefruit, some pineapple and some light malt. The finish was nicely bitter and on the dry side.
