Bottle from Corks of Cotham, Bristol. Lovely deep copper in colour with a decent, off-white head. Peach, tangerine and sherbet aroma with some grassy hops. Big, caramel and unripe tropical fruit flavours, with some solid, savoury malts, black pepper and a lingering, dry finish. Unusual.

33 cl bottle @ home, BBE 02/2015
Aroma is nice with fruity hops, some sweet berry tones (raspberry), bready malt and resiny hops. Flavour is sweet with resin, gooseberry bush, some grapefruit and tropical fruits. Sweet and heavy for an IPA. I seem to like this anyway. Some odd vegetable-like off flavours occur in the background at the end of the glass.

Despite the reasonably high ABV, this is a very drinkable IPA; bordering on sessionable.

UPDATED: JUN 28, 2014 Mostly what you would expect from an APA. Hoppy and bitter with piney resinous hops. Nice easy drinker.

330ml bottle. Pours a hazy golden amber, with a moderate off-white head, which lasts fairly well and leaves decent lacing. Plum, rock candy and herbal hops notes mix with burnt caramel to create the aroma. Tropical fruit and resin hops up front give way to sweet rock candy leading into a burnt caramel mid-palate. Pine and plum hops give it a nice assertive finish. A very pleasant IPA indeed.

At just on cool and into a snifter this one settles a shimmering burnished copper, just shy of bright, with minute, sparse effervescencecarbonation. Head does little to arouse and sets at just a wafer of white managing a fine, broken lace. Nose is dominated by pine-needles and pine wood, orange marmalade and blood orange - all sticky and caramelised. A bold mouthful of hops on the palate. Lean in body with soft, spritzy effervescence. Very dry, whole hop, pine-forest finish. Good length, weedy, herbaceous and woody like sucking on a toothpick. Malt is second fiddle to the hops but it comes across as dusty, rough, grainy with a hint of biscuit for measure and colour I guess. Fruit of the nose comes through in abundance after a few sips fading off in the swallow. Juicy, tangy caramelised citrus notes meld well. Overall it is juicy and controlled, refreshing and easy to drink despite the high ABV. Pretty good stuff! (33cL, BBE 02/15, The Liquor Shed, Jandakot)

Pours clear deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, citrus, grape and peach. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long caramel, grape and citrus finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

330ml bottle from Queens Plaza Beer and Wine 180614. Vibrant orange colour with a full head of foam that settles quickly to leave a ring of foam around the edge of the glass. Long long finish and fills the mouth.

Bottle. Amber beer with a strong white head. The aroma is well hopped, the flavour is also well hopped with a large degree of dryness. Overall a nice American IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Henriks. It’s an almost clear one, golden in color and with a small off-beige head. Grapefruit, pine cones and some malts in the aroma. It’s fullbodied and soft on the palate, semi-dry. Some malty sweetness in the flavor, but the fruity and piney hops dominates. A nice bitterness too, lasting for a while. A quite nice one, wouldn’t mind drinking this again. 140616
