COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our ‘Maori Pale Ale’ came together after months of experimentation with a very unique hop – Nelson Sauvin from New Zealand. Strong grape flavours are complimented by the sweet Munich malt, makings this beer crisp and refreshing.

330ml Flasche. Ins Glas ergießt sich ein leicht trübes dunkelgoldenes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr angenehm fruchtig malzig, Zitrone. Geschmack leicht fruchtig malzig, minimal fruchtig bitter, Früchtetee, erfrischend, süffig.

Keg @The Vintage, Leith. Pours clear and blonde, almost like a lager. The nose is hoppy with some grassy and pine notes Leafy fresh hop taste with straw, apricot, mango. It’s almost sweet when you first taste it but it soon turns into a very nice bitter finish. Nice not great.

Bottle. Gold with a loose white head. Grassy Kiwi sauv blanc aroma, gooseberries, grass clippings, grapes, lychees.Slight cat. Lowish carbonation, a bit on the thin side. Hops don’t pop as much in the mouth, although it’s pretty grapey. Sweet hay. Dry, moderately bitter finish.

Pours a clear light golden with some sudsy white head. Nose is classic Nelson. Pineapple, passionfruit, white wine. Flavor is lots of slightly sour passionfruit, pineapple, graininess and slight sweetness from the munich, crisp and slightly bitter finish. Interesting, and pretty enjoyable. Really strong passionfruit flavor. I like this.

Fat på munken. Otroligt vacker skumkrona, grumligt ljus och väldigt lätt kolsyrad. Sur grape i smak som klingar av relativt fort. Fräsch!

Bottle from Beermoth, Manchester. Pours a clear golden colour with a pillowy white head. Aroma is super hoppy and citrussy, with a nice hint of white wine grape, pineapple and kiwi fruit in the back; very pleasant! Taste has a dry sourness with hints of white wine from the off from the sauvin hops. Also picked up grapefruit touches on the back too. Medium carbonation and nice mouthfeel. Different but nice!

I found this very low key and perhaps subtle to a fault. Faint green herbal hops but really much else happening at all. A fraction skunky so perhaps the bottle wasn’t in great nick?

330 ml bottle. 114. BB 8/14. From alesbymail.co.uk.
Cloudy golden colour with a big foamy white head. Quite clear Nelson Sauvin hop profile with grapes and white wine notes. Not bad at all. The flavour is quite enjoyable with dry hops, mild bitterness, grapes and some cidery notes. Diggable.
