COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our ‘Maori Pale Ale’ came together after months of experimentation with a very unique hop – Nelson Sauvin from New Zealand. Strong grape flavours are complimented by the sweet Munich malt, makings this beer crisp and refreshing.

Bottle from Beermoth, Manchester. Pours a clear golden colour with a pillowy white head. Aroma is super hoppy and citrussy, with a nice hint of white wine grape, pineapple and kiwi fruit in the back; very pleasant! Taste has a dry sourness with hints of white wine from the off from the sauvin hops. Also picked up grapefruit touches on the back too. Medium carbonation and nice mouthfeel. Different but nice!

I found this very low key and perhaps subtle to a fault. Faint green herbal hops but really much else happening at all. A fraction skunky so perhaps the bottle wasn’t in great nick?

330 ml bottle. 114. BB 8/14. From alesbymail.co.uk.
Cloudy golden colour with a big foamy white head. Quite clear Nelson Sauvin hop profile with grapes and white wine notes. Not bad at all. The flavour is quite enjoyable with dry hops, mild bitterness, grapes and some cidery notes. Diggable.

Bottle. This is a floral chap nicely turned out with a squeeze of peach and twist of lime. A whiff of mulched cut grass as well. Thin body, but it doesn’t feel watery and the crispness compliments the aroma and taste. A fine fellow.

Bottle at home. Hazy golden pour, thick white head. Aroma is very fruity, pineapple, floral, citrus and very fresh hops. Flavor is fruity, bitter, very refreshing and clean. Amazingly hopped brew and very drinkable. Thin body, but that doesn’t matter here.

Bottle. It’s a clear, golden beer with a dense, off-white head of moderate size. The aroma has flowers and grapefruit, with some sweetish maltyness notes. Something almost smoked too, not sure what that is, but it suits the beer. There’s a nice bitterness in the flavor, it’s full to medium bodied and with a pleasant carbonation level. Tropical fruits and some malt notes. Lasting finish. Well, not bad, but I’m not impressed. 140301
