Tiny Batch Edition Beer, XLPA aka Extra Light Pale Ale.
But why Extra Light you ask?! Well that’s because our friendly malsters have kindly let us trial out their prototype malt that will give a very light colour, more so than their normal light pale version while trying to keep the full flavour profile. We can confirm it is extra light, like…..really light!
Apart from the malt we threw in a load of Amarillo, Citra & Chinook for a nice light 4.2% cask ale with a medium bitterness so you can neck a few but please NO neck nominating!

Cask at Ealing beer festival 2014. A light golden coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, floral, malty aroma. Tastes hoppy, floral, malty, slightly bitter. Great session ale.

Cask at The Lyric London as ’Tiny Batch Extra Light Pale Ale’. Very pale yellow, clear, still with the odd bubble, small bubbly white head, loads of lacing. Aroma - caramel orange mango. Body is medium to light, smooth. Taste - very fruity, slightly astringent lime, floral, not bitter. Balanced - very well judged. Could drink this one by the gallon.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 2014. Clear pale gold lasting white head. Hop tea leaf aroma. Yes it’s clean floral and hoppy. Some bitterness on the finish. Good though.

This needs to be made permanent! Quite the palest pale ale I’ve seen. Clear bright body and good white head. Gorgeous citrus aroma leading to a light fruity palate. Full marks for a quaffing draught ale.

Clear and still crisp golden with a lovely frothy wave of white head. Limey zest, smooth floral edges and soft lemon. Tingle of bitterness from initial taste, thin maltlessness in the middle. Light pine is compounded a little by the lack of clout, mulching dry finish. Freshly sheathed dry strawyness on the finish, tinselly light copper linger. Quite nice and quite odd for a Blonde.

Cask, Cloisters, Edinburgh

Cask at Cloisters. Pours very pale yellow, thin white head. Aromas of grapefruit and lemon. Taste has more citrus fruit, no real malt presence, but then you wouldn’t expect it in something quite so pale. Nice.
