COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA is a hop lovers’ delight! The perfect blend of pale and caramel malts makes Gen. Sherman a beautiful copper color. Generous amounts of Northern Brewer, Simcoe, Cascade, and Crystal hops gives this beer a huge citrus-like aroma and flavor, and a long-lingering finish.

Bottle to glass. Aroma is aggressively grassy with some pine notes. Hazy orange with a medium sized white head, lots of tiny bubbles. Taste is, well, interesting. Sort of minty with some citrus. This definitely isn’t the danky Cali west coast hops I was expecting. a light caramel sweetness. interesting. a little astringent upon drinking a few sips. decent, but wouldn’t order a second

Bottle pour. Clear golden with a small white head, but good lacing. Grassy, malty, hoppy, and a little musky aroma. Medium body. Hoppy taste with a light bitter aftertaste.

A lighter hop aroma than the sequoia pale. Definitely hoppier than the pale, this has a strong bitter hop body and a crisp finish. Okay.

22 oz bottle purchased as a single at the Lodgepole general store in Sequoia National Park. The pour is clear golden with a small white head. The aroma is floral hop along with some resin. Malt is present, though a bit muddled light sweetness. The taste is a mixture of the floral resin hops, introduction of pine notes, and the lightly sweet caramel malt. Not all that clean or fresh tasting. The palate is medium bodied, softer carbonation, and slightly dirty bitter finish. Decent enough.

22oz bottle (double dry hopped version - not sure if different or not) in a teku. Pours hazy amber with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of floral and citrusy hops, pale and caramel malts, light fruits, and some dough. Flavor the same. Average texture. A pretty good IPA.

courtesy of Sandra Porchet and Jean-Philippe - pretty clear amber beer with a poor head retention; fairly hoppy aroma with notes of quince and tea, flowery; full-bodied, light sweet maltiness; solidly bitter, quite dry, long lasting bitterness and more notes of quince and plums - assertive and very good
