3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle I picked up at the grocery store. I grew up in Fresno but until the other day never had anything from Tioga-Sequoia. Starts out with a mild mouthful of hops which seems light on the tongue. But the lackluster finish brings it down. Ok beer, will definitely have it again, but nothing special.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
22 oz bottle purchased as a single at the Lodgepole general store in Sequoia National Park. The pour is clear golden with a small white head. The aroma is floral hop along with some resin. Malt is present, though a bit muddled light sweetness. The taste is a mixture of the floral resin hops, introduction of pine notes, and the lightly sweet caramel malt. Not all that clean or fresh tasting. The palate is medium bodied, softer carbonation, and slightly dirty bitter finish. Decent enough.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz bottle (double dry hopped version - not sure if different or not) in a teku. Pours hazy amber with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of floral and citrusy hops, pale and caramel malts, light fruits, and some dough. Flavor the same. Average texture. A pretty good IPA.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
courtesy of Sandra Porchet and Jean-Philippe - pretty clear amber beer with a poor head retention; fairly hoppy aroma with notes of quince and tea, flowery; full-bodied, light sweet maltiness; solidly bitter, quite dry, long lasting bitterness and more notes of quince and plums - assertive and very good

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle courtesy of thebeerprophet. Perfect one finger white head with a nice pale golden color to the body. Uniform head that held for almost a minute; lacing is okay. Aroma is grapefruit, kumquat, and tangy unripened peach. Taste is boldly hopped, but the use of simcoe/cascade/crystal reminds me of citra and willamette. Slightly bitter, but with that nice unripened peach flavor as well. Mouthfeel is a tad watery.

Poured a dark, dull, even coppery brown. Was pretty hoppy with average bitterness. A fairly standard IPA by all accounts, but it’s good to see the valley getting into the beer game.
