Lady Evelyn is a very pale, straw coloured ale with a long dryish finish and a beautiful floral hop aroma. One of a trilogy of beers based upon ghost stories from the Norfolk Broads.

Cask conditioned at The Artichoke, Broome Norfolk. Pale gold with white head. Light malty beer wit a sweetish note to it, thinnish with a slight apple note, skinny and just a touch tart. Not a lot of depth, but still drinkable.

Cask - The Murderers, Norwich. A dark golden yellow with a fine, frothy white head. Some nice lemon sherbet hop aromas, and a touch of orange peel. Good, slightly sharp initial flavours balanced by a malty sweetness and a lasting, dry fruity finish. Medium body, light to medium carbonation, softish mouthfeel.

Bottled. A hazy light golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of sweet malt and citrus. The flavor is sweet with light notes of malt, elderflowers, and citrus. The body is light. Thanks fonefan for sharing.

Cask@GBBF2009. Pale yellowish golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is quite much fruity and floral hops along with some mild herbal notes. Flavour is quite much the same along with some slight yeastyness.

Cask handpull at The Market Porter. Pale gold, lasting thin white head. Decent pale gold bitter. Bit of farty yeast on aroma, but then some fullness in the mouth. Decent sherbert biting hop on finish. Fine.

Cask at the King’s Head, Norwich, "Post-Xmas Crawl Part 2", 28th Dec 08. Lots of smoked meat aroma. Slightly hazy amber appearance. Rather watery palate alas! Dry finish. An interesting beer but they need to round off some of the rough edges.

Clear medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, moderate hoppy, citrus shell, moderate yeasty. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. (220808)

Bottled, shared by fonefan. A yellow-golden beer with some microfloaties and a dense, off-white head. Slightly chalky and citrusy sour aroma, but in a pleasant hoppy way. The flavor also has a little touch of sourness and chalk, but is mostly citrusy bitter. Grapefruit. Some malty tones. Bitter finsih with a touch of pinecones. A quite decent beer, but very boring. Easy to drink, and quenching. (080822)
