Served on-tap at the Brewpub, reviewed from notes.

A - Pours pitch black, one finger tall tan head, minimal lacing.

S - Smell was all over the place but I did get most of the added ingredients. The cocoa, vanilla and a tiny bit of marshmallow fluff are present initially and as it warms up more and more maple syrup and PB start to come out.

T - Very similar to the nose. The lighter flavors start things off while the PB is slow to develop but once it does it really shines through. Finish is pretty sweet with some light lingering roast.

M - Heavy body with moderate carbonation. Sweet, smooth feel.

O - This is definitely a big beer with a ton of flavors going on inside its depths. I am glad I got to try it while it was around.

Growler shared at Craft Ale House. Dark blackish pour with tan head. Nose was roasty malt, cacao, peanuts, coffee, maple. Tasted complex, fairlty complex, with the ingredients mixing well and working well together. I enjoyed this one a lot, although not everyone else did as much.

Growler from, Matt, poured a black color with aromas of chocolate, coffee, vanilla, marshmellow, maple syrup, and some nuts. Flavors were rhe same with some light peanutbutter. The growler lost its carbonation but still tasted great, if there was more carb rhis beer would have been stellar.

For a beer that listed five ingredients, you would think that something would make it interesting or enjoyable. Totally average on all fronts. Some chocolate and a slight creaminess or sweetness that I assume might be the marshmallow fluff. More misses than hits lately here. Only Void was below par which leads me to conclude that darker beers arenít in their wheelhouse. They are going to bottle this and put it in a barrel. Hopefully, that adds something but Iíll pass on that. Why bother. Seek out other stuff from TH before searching for BA 5Oo5.

Draft at Tired Hands. Unfortunately, this is also not beer for people who like beer. Pours black, mostly clear with a thin offwhite head. Pretty ugly overall. Nose is very sweet. Vanilla and cocoa with some roast, hint of nuttiness. On tasting, it is way to sweet with vanilla and lactose dominating. Some ashy notes on the finish as well. Nearly undrinkably cloying.

Growler from Chris. Thanks! Seems to have lost the carbonation in transit. Flat black pour with no head. Aroma is coffee, vanilla, cinnamon, and banana. Some marshmallow, graham cracker, and roasted malt. Nice sweetness to the flavor of chocolate, vanilla, coffee, and cinnamon. Chocolate covered banana, marshmallow, and graham cracker. Just a hint of roasted malt. Nice sweetness.

1L flip-top growler thanks to womencantsail. The pour was flat from a flip-top growler from the brewery...no foam or bubbles on an inkier black pour. Nose at first is pretty green coffee and dark fruits moving to thicker marshmallow and chocolate. Taste is oily, some sugar, chocolate covered banana. But the palate sans carbonation is mealy, oily, sugary with some soil/dirt. Wife gave it 3.4 but would have been a 3.9 if it had carbonation.

Growler - huge thanks to Ken for this one. Pours a deep, inky black body with thin chocolate brown lacing. Aroma is mostly vanilla beans and espresso. Mouthfeel is medium and perfectly balanced; notes of melted chocolate over graham crackers, sweet, rich coffee, dark chocolate and pan-steamed peanuts.
