3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at Churchkey during Craft Brewers Conference. Poured a nice golden yellow color with a large white head. Aroma was some herbal notes, tropical citrus character, some pepper character. Flavor was all that - the herbs, the pepper, the citrus and some yeast character. Pretty enjoyable pineapple and yeast.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
massive soft white head murky lemon. Bright, hempy nose, earthy and sage, light pineapple. Soft flavor, lemon and biscuit forward, soapy flavor mid, lightly floral through the dry, short vinous finish. Palate is thin, light carbonation and ultra puffy for TH but otherwise great.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at Churchkey for CBC. Pours a full haze glowing bright gold. Huge white head. 360 sheets of lace. Nose is big garden spice adjunct: white sage, chamomile, rosemary, mild acetic acid, some diaper plastic/phenols, moving to fresh tangerine. Taste is pineapple, pear, apple, sweet butter. Dusty, minerally palate. Extremely buoyant body. Fluffy to the max. I don’t get any nori, sesame, or hot pepper. But the tangerine is nice and could be upped a bit.

growler from tom10101, many thanks! clear bright and pale golden with a very nice white head, good retention and lacing. light pepper and smoky notes, light and present acidity, very nice belgium saison yeast characteristics - spices, soft vanilla, crisp malts, hint of sweetness. average carbonation, light body, very nice herbal, citrusy and very lightly acidic finish. very refreshing, balanced and good! loved it.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours very nice golden with low white head. Some lacing. Aroma is of spices, smoke, fruits, malt, flowers, peppers. Taste is of smoke, spices, malt, fruits, saison yeast, peppers. Palate: Meidum body. Crisp. Overall: Yeasty. Very impressive Saison. I had no idea of that "asian inspired" aspect. Anyways, this thing is very, very tasty.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Growler (1 L) 6 days old. Thanks to Sarge3130 for this one! Clear golden with a small white head and good lacing. Aroma is spicy/peppery with Saison yeast, slight smoked notes and, like Hoppypocket said, reminiscent of the Fantome Saison. Taste is spicy/peppery with lemon zest, slight smoked presence, malt and Saison yeast. Medium body. Dry. Crisp. Fresh. Good carbonation. Very good peppery Saison!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Growler provided by tom10101 again, thanks! This one saison from TH is a bit of a departure, it pours clear golden with a nice white head. Nose is fresh (mint-like) and spicy, no brett to be found. Taste is medium sweet with no apparent sourness, but again it feels some fresh and refreshing that there might still be some in there but there is so much going on that it might just go unnoticed. Mouthfeel/carbonation was impressive for a growler (most growlers we had that afternoon were just fine). Overall a really nice drink, one that might have suffered a little from the comparison with all the other brett saisons in my opinion.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: MAR 25, 2013 Growler shared by tom10101. thanks a lot! Pours a semi-cloudy blond with a nice white head. Aroma reminds me of a fantome saison, pepery, kind of smoky-ish. Taste has a nice clean taste. Peppery, crispy malts, beautiful yeasty esters. Mouthfeel is clean, crisp and a perfect carbonation for the style. A very good saison.
