Tap at Tired Hands. Full haze deep reddish brown pour. Huge webby lacing. Nose is juicy hops, brown sugar, gamey, very hoppy with mango pulp. Taste is quenching, rich and juicy melon, sugary cantaloupe, softly bitter honeydew rind. Pretty much brown ipa.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft from brewpub. Pours hazy ruddy khaki colored with minimal head. Nose was vienna malty, big hops, some funk. Tastes complex, with a vienna malty flavor, a lot of hops, and some finishing funky yeasty esters. Very complex for a brown ale, and hop heavy, with incredible complexity.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On draft, pours hazy brown with light to medium creamy head. Notes are lots of cheesy hops, and rye bread with some nice brown and caramel malts. Very hoppy overall. Really enjoyable if you like hoppy brown ales.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
dark sepia, lacing cream head, large bubbled. Toasty, light grain, and resinous hop rule nose. Flavor is similarly hoppy, resinous at first and orange by mid, but it’s cut by dough, stinging sugars through the finish. Contrasted, and making up for it in displeasureable ways.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours an opaque medium brown with a slight ruby hue and a medium tan head. Aroma has notes of slightly sweet citrus and mild caramel. Flavor has earthy/caramely malts up front but a slightly sweet citrus and earthy bitterness overtake...a bit of hoppy spice. Mouthfeel is medium, a bit slick/oily, and the finish is rindy, earthy, and spicy.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A pretty ballin’ brown ale. Deep brown with chestnut highlights. Medium light tan head, good lacing. Nose is lightly earthy with some citric bitterness and caramel malts. Flavor is similar but adds a touch of rye. Medium bodied, medium carb, oats contribute a creamy texture, light bitterness. Nice.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Tired Hands.
Appearance: Cloudy chestnut body with a creamy tan head.
Aroma: Grassy and citrus hops, slightly earthy.
Taste: Citrus and grassy hops, mildly bitter. Some toffee on the finish.
Palate: Medium bodied fizzy carbonation, slightly sharp.
Overall: This could use more of a malt presence.

UPDATED: APR 10, 2013 Light brown pour with a small off white head. Pretty clear, lighter than a normal brown. Impressive hop forward aroma. Pine, citrus, caramel, toffee, chocolate. Very clean bitterness without being too aggressive. I’ve had so many shitty brewpub brown ales in my life, this one lifts. Bravo.
