Thanks to jcartamdg for sharing this one. Pours a hazy yellow with a white head. Nose is slight wine, some funk, some pineapple, some sweet malt, and lemony citrus character. Flavor is similar- citrus, vinous fruit, some sweet malt, and some lemon, apricot, and citrus. Medium in body and very nice overall.

Growler shared at Craft Ale House bottle night. Poured hazy gold with fizzy white head. Nose was funky Bretty, with some lactic acidity and fruit. Tastes tart, but not too tart with a lo of carbonation, a lot of fruit flavor, and a finishing sweetness to match the acidity. Well balanced and smooth.

On tap at the brewpub. Distant cottony aroma. Brett is there and so are some hops, but it’s confused, muddled and quiet. Flavors begin with a dried out, webby Brett and then finish with a slightly goaty and very strongly bitter old hop resin. I’m not sure. The Brett has chewed through almost everything without leaving any fun Brett tropical characters and the hops have aged out or been obliterated in terms of flavor, leaving only unbalanced bitterness. Not my favorite, unfortunately.

From growler, courtesy of Jon D. Bretty, hoppy, and meaty. Light lactic and mild sweetness. Hazy pale with thin white head. Medium-light body with medium carbonation. Medium bitter start. Lots of Brett in this one. Light funk and big bitter notes but not harsh. Astringent finish with mild bitter after.

On draft at Tired Hands.
The beer is lightly hazy and straw colored with a bit of white head. The aroma carries citrus, hay, grass, light funk, orange zest, lemon rind, hops. Smells nice. The flavor is light and smooth sailing. The brett character is there but adds a touch of funk, not dominating the other aspects of the beer. Refreshing citrus, lightly tart. Lemons and oranges with a bit of floral hops. A tasty brew for sure.

Poura hazy yellow. Nose is funk, must, grapefruits, citrus, sweet fruits, a touch of clay aromas. Flavor is citrus, grapefruit, mustiness, and sweet fruitiness. Dry finish. Overall not a heavily flavorful beer and easy to drink. Nice.

On tap at Tired Hands last weekend. Served in a wine glass. Pours a very hazy blonde straw color with a thick white head and good lacing. The nose carries nice lemon and straw plus mild funk. A bit of citrus rind. Flavor is nicely hoppy and a bit bitter. Some orange peel and lemon. Fruity and a bit of Brett in the background. Just a touch of funk. Light-medium body and good carbonation. Dry and quite drinkable. An excellent start to the series.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 callmemickey (1355) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 21, 2013
Thick, milky, straw yellow body. Minimal head and lacing. Quite gross looking from the brett. Nose is lemony, with strong must, some grain and pine. Flavor shows a similar interplay between the brett and hops. Medium bodied, quite dry, somewhat astringent, and the finish leaves much to be desired. An interesting, fairly complex beer, that is lacking the polish. I am optomistic the solera treatment will help improve the subsequent offerings in the series.
