A wheat-based hoppy coffee saison. Wtf is going on here?! Whatever this is, I like it.
Darker with more body than every stout Central Waters has ever made. Handsome brown head leaves saison-esque lace, but that’s where the similarities to a saison end. Crazy aroma of deeply roasted coffee and roasty malts.
Black coffee on the palate. Smooth, roasty, hoppy, dry, highly sessionable. Equal parts weird and good. Goddamn it Tired Hands, stop making awesomely creative beer. You’re gonna bankrupt me.

Enjoyed on tap at the brewpub. India black coffee saison. This batch at 6.9% abv. Local coffee that generates a good coffee aroma. Black bodied and lacey. Above average mouthfeel. Very coffee yet well done and tasty for what it is.

Growler shared with Ernesto. Pours an ugly swamp water with small tan head. Aroma is roasted coffee beans and spicy spruce hops. Taste is very interesting with some light sweetness and mild tartness, that I wish wasnt there. Overall very unique and tasty brew.

Near black pour, dark in this place but can see some chestnut edges. Nose is fresh coffee beans, bright earthy hops. In short, the mouth is a mish mash of of roasted coffee and bitter hops. Not entirely attractive mouth, though the nose is decent. Muddled and dull, I’m not a huge fan of overly roasted malt in hoppy beers, but still this is one of their weaker offerings.

Growler pours a hazy, deep mahogany with some clumpy tan head. Great coffee nose, dank, brown sugar, coffee grounds, nutty, light molasses. Flavor is solid, brown sugar, toasted bread, coffee, cola, cake icing. Medium bodied, dry finish.
