4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 JCB (3859) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - MAR 4, 2013
Thanks, Philthy friend! Bright orange pour with modest earthy sediment and a billowy head. Nose is righteously hoppy, floral but not in the extreme, with plenty of dry complements. Massively flavorful but not excessively sweet. Like Sculpin, this beer’s a superb balance of dry bitter (but not leafy) and fruity flavors.

On tap, Hazy amber-gold pour with medium bright white head and really nice lacing rings. Aromas and taste of peach, orange, pine all from the delicious hop lineup. Further notes of earthy grass, bitter pine and grapefruit. Somewhat dry and pretty bitter in the finish. I like this one but it was maybe a little too bitter. More of the fruits came out as she warmed which was the case with alot of the beers I tried that day.
