Hoppy Brettanomyces Golden Ale. The sixth and final installment in our Darwin Solera series. Hopped intensely with Centennial. The only dry-hopped Darwin Solera beer.

Burnt gold appearance, 3 finger fluffy head leaving behind quite a bit of lacing. The nose is very interesting. The Brett is strong with this one. Smells wonderful..lots of grassy and lemon and spicy. It’s great! The taste is great until you get a phenolic and cough medicine taste. Other than that, there’s loads of great things going on in this beer with loads of citrus, orange zest and spicy leathery brett. I get fresh cut grass and lemons throughout. it’s wonderful .

On tap at TH. Sheet lacing on the glass. Lots of brett, chardonnay, brine, and lime. This was a light bodied spelt ale, but full flavored and not lacking in alcohol. Very good indeed.

1 liter growler thanks to Boz. Thank you sir... Pours a hazy nestea like complexion and topped with a fluffy white head... White wine and grassy notes. Touch of Bretty pineapple to go with the aformentioned. Softer grains throughout as well. Not too much of a huge sour presence... Brett and earth throughout, hoppy bitterness. Grainy musk. Didn’t expect as much of a hop presence but it was indeed there. Doesn’t drink it’s strength - medium bodied with a softer level of carbonation.

75cl growler pours a hazy, deep yellow with some clumpy, white head. Nose has quite a bit of Brett, lemon, straw, hay, some pineapple, dusty, pithy. Flavor is malty and sweet, honey, lemon cough drops, straw, orange peel, a little medicine cabinet, a little fruit. Dry, slick finish.

UPDATED: JUL 19, 2013 Draft at Tired Hands with Linh. Pours a brigt, hazy orange body with nice thick white lacing. Aroma is lemon funk and crisp and clean spelt - instantly reminds me of Stillwater’s Premium. Mouthfeel is crisp, clean and refreshing with notes of light & delicate Brett, lime, peach, grass, and clean spelt. Wonderful and sessionable.

A hazed golden ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, good orange and herbs with light sulfur , lightly off. In mouth, a grainy malt with alcohol warmth, iron notes, spice extract, nice. In mouth, a lightly fruity malt with loads of Brett, alcohol, bitter hops, decent.

Arona of pez, fake grape, good barnyard, and lemon cleanser. Pours hazy blonde with a messy film. Taste is slightly tart with lemoncello, horse blanket, and great grappa yeast. Nice bite.

Pours a very hazy honey color with a medium white head...nice thick lacing. Aroma has musty/rindy hop notes...some leather and apricot. Flavor follows suit...good bitterness and nice funkiness...love the interplay between the funk/leather/apricot bitterness here. Mouthfeel is light and the finish is leather/funk/bitterand dry...funk lingers. Really enjoy this beer!

On tap at Tired Hands. Cloudy orange brown with a white head. Nose is orange, pine and light lemon. Medium body with soft carb. Taste is lime, tangerine peel and earthy citrus pith. Odd sort of bitter wheaty finish.
