Growler shared at the Night of Garbage, please add the ’not so’ bracket for this number that I provided via an IP trade with Frank from PA, 20/12/13 up a shit load of stairs ! Light black with a good sized tan head that retains well. Nose is roast coffee beans, roast malt, cocoa, toffee fudge. Taste comprises less of a coffee assault, cocoa powder, coffee beans, light roast, dark malts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light sweet tones in a drying finale. Super solid porter - lots of coffee going off, doesn’t strike you as 8% + !

Growler shared by b3shine. Poured a clear dark brown color with a moderate frothy tan head that mostly lasted with very good lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted chocolate malt and coffee aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy sweet flavor with a medium sweet smooth finish of moderate to long duration. Solid brew.

near black, puffy tan small bubbled head drops to a thin cap. Woody coffee nose, bordering on green. Flavor is heavy grinds, muted profile, soft with low carbonation leaves grinds all over the palate. Grains indistinguishable. One note and singular, too oppressive with soft body.

Growler, thanks to Colin. It pours near black with a medium+ tan head. The nose is smooth roast, coffee, toast, cocoa/dark chocolate, earth and a touch of sherbet. The taste is smooth, roasty, toast, coffee, caramel, sherbet, chocolate and some creaminess with a dry finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Well hidden alcohol. Smooth, well-balanced and very drinkable. Tasty.

The (not so) shit beer tasting at Leightons stratospheric flat. Thanks.Colin for the growler and the growling. Opaque dark brown beer, good pale cream coloured head. Palate is light, airy and semi dry. Smooth and fairly light dark malts. Very light roast. Light dry cream, light tang. Subtle dark chocolate and coffee. Finishes smooth.and airy with a sweeter fruity tang. Very easy going and drinkable. Drinks well below it’s abv.

Growler shared at the Night of Garbage. Big thanks to C-Dog for bringing this one. Pours deep brown with a frothy tan head. Loads of coffee in the nose, some dark chocolate. Medium sweet flavor with fresh coffee beans, well roasted malts, baking cocoa, earth. Medium bodied with fine carbonation and creamy texture. More fresh coffee in the finish, burnt wood, dried dark fruits, bittersweet chocolate. Rich, dynamic and very well balanced.

32oz growler filled 12-15, enjoyed 12-18. Shared by b3shine. Very dark brown color. Thin khaki light brown head. Plenty dots of lace. Big coffee aroma up front in the nose. Bigger roast malt, light peppery spiciness. Medium-plus body, lighter for 8%. Smooth, lighter carbonation. Dry finish. Moderate bitter taste, light spicy bite, minimal sweet. Some good dark chocolate comes out later in the aroma. Good dry chewiness to the texture in the finish. Great coffee porter.

Growler shared by b3shine. Pours a dark cola brown color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have coffee, hints of honey, roast, dry as it finishes, earthy, wood with a touch of dark chocolate.

Swing top growler to taster (shared by me with the group; thanks Kerry!). Looks good; a semi-opaque cola with thin beige lacing. Smells sold; dark malt and coffee roast with a bit of sweetness. Tastes like it smells with a smooth, semi-dry mouthfeel. Good beer.

From a growler. Dark brown with a beige head. The aroma has a lot of coffee, some chocolate with some caramel. The flavor is coffee with some chocolate, nicely balanced. The finish is smooth and tasty.
