Bottle at Campground Brewdown 2014. Pours a deep black with a thin tan head. Prunes and cocoa, big chocolate. Medium bodied, big warm wood and bourbon, chocolate and cocoa. Cocoa and vanilla and long chewiness on the finish.

[6654-20140816] Swing-top bottle. Roasted grains and creamy toasted wood aroma. Black body with a quick foamy light tan head. Roasted creamy grains flavour has a light chocolate wood note. Full body. Quite tasty and drinkable. (8/3/9/4/17) 4.1

Growler. Pours near black with a beige head, chocolate malts, lighter roasted malts, and some moderate sweetness lasting through the finish. Pretty good.

2014-08-16. Black body with a small tan head. 3+ Aroma of lightly dusty dark malt with muted roasty accents, light alcohol and fruit. Flavour is sweet, sort of cocoa vanilla undertones. Dried peanut butter whisper? Lingering sweet dark malt. Simple at times but nice. Smooth medium bodied palate, soft low carbonation. Swing top bottle dated 6.2.2013 at Campground Brewdown

Draft at the brewpub. Poured a great looking thick fuller pitch black body under a creamy lasting dark beige head. Aroma has a lot going on, notes of chocolate, espresso bean, vanilla extract, brownie batter, cola, burnt toast and soy sauce. Big thick body, lingering aftertaste, toich of heat and average carbonation. Flavor is roasty, burnt toast, bunrt malts, bunrt coffee, dark chocolate, dark toadt. Really nice.

Hazy sepia. Puffy cream head. Light roast and licorice nose, thin metallicity. Tons of licorice and light bubblegum sweetness. Heavy manure tar survived front palate, licorice and grain mid before light anise finish.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a thick black color with a finger of creamy tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, earth, vanilla cream, and caramel. Taste of dark chocolate, burnt malts, earth, vanilla, and a sweet caramel finish.

Sample from growler. Pours brownish-black with a bit of red around the edges. Partial lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, chocolate and coffee. Full-bodied with flavors of dark chocolate, malt and dark fruits. The finish is heavily roasty with a lingering malty aftertaste. Good beer all around.

Draft. Black pour with tan head. Black pour with brown head. Chocolate, roasted and sweet marshmallow aromas. Chocolate, roasted malt flavors forward, sweeter undertones. ABV not apparent.
