3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at craft brew princess Denise’s party - thanks, Denise! There is a nice aroma on this sour, fruity, brown-amber ale. It is good for sure, but a little odd. ABV turns out to be higher than expected.

Growler. Smells of fruit. Tastes a bit sour, but with a great sweetness to balance it out. Fresh strawberries and fruit come through in the taste. Cloudy brown appearance.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Growler from the source consumed that evening. Dark brown with a few bubbles. Nose is toffee, sour strawberry and wood. Medium body with a tang. Taste is brown sugar, barely sweet strawberry and leaves with a bitter, stony finish. Quite savory; slightly sour with a touch of tobacco. I think i’ll cellar the swing-top for a while and see what happens.

Draft at Tired Hands with Linh. Pours a murky brown body with light off white lacing. Aroma is faint tart berries, light roast and funk. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of tart berries, light roast, light oak, faint chocolate and a nice sour character.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hazy red brown color with a small, light tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts, nuts, caramel, strawberries, and wood. Taste of nuts, roast, dark fruits, and a bit of cocoa.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On draught during the 1st Ann. party. Poured purple brown with light head and lacing. Aromas and flavor are caramel malt, oak, roast, light strawberry and chocolate. Light to medium body. The 11.5 percent is barely present. Wish it was more berry forward.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Ruddy brown body, thin tan head, spotty lacing. Jammy strawberries are cut a bit short by caramel, milk chocolate, and some toffee. Medium bodied, abv is well hidden from a heat standpoint but probably contributed to the slightly incomplete finish that doesn’t quite capitalize on the strawberries. An interesting beer that doesn’t fully come together for me.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
pours a chocolate brown color with a medium lt tan head. aroma has mild tart fruits and subtle roast. flavor has notable strawberry...mild tartness...atop light chocolate. Mouthfeel is light and the finish has nice lightly funky strawberry and roast. masterfully hidden ABV and tastes like a less sour nebula. gorgeous.
