Our four-grain saison. Brewed with rye, wheat, oats, and malted-barley in homage to the original farmers (not brewers) that originated this style. Suggestions of tropical fruit, citrus rind, and black pepper. (Originally known as FarmHands)

Draft at the brewery. Fantastic! Fruity, grassy, citrusy, with some subtle tartness, and killer refreshing. One of the better saisons that I’ve ever had.

4 oz pour on draft at The Sovereign. Poured a hazy yellow-orange color with a small off-white head. Aroma was light funky notes, touch of citrus, very mild malt notes, subtle grain character. Reminds me of a lot of Tired Hands beers in that respect. Light tart notes, touch of very mild funk, acid.

Draft at Monks. Very hazy yellow gold. Slight white top. Minimal head. Wonderfully juicy and fragrant Saison. Bitter citrus. Complex. Interesting. Sparkling but dry. Hop balance is just right.

Poured a crazy hazy yellow color with aromas of wheat, grass, lemon rinds and some citrus. Flavors are all citrus and hay with some lemon peel and Jay this is crushable and could drink this all day.

Aroma of ’farts’, barnyard, a bit woody, mango, passionfruit with an earthy kick to it. Taste is lots of barnyard funk, very earthy, with a citric acid like fruitiness. This was quite nice.

Draft (Monk’s Cafe). Virtually no head. Body is cloudy light yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain, corn starch), lightly yeasty (basement), with notes of lemon-lime juice, sour apple. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Another disappointment from a new-to-me brewery. Just a generic sour ale rather than a saison and seems like fruit juice or lemonade has been added. Pretty dopey.

Tap at Gingerman. was just going to get the Grimm but couldn’t resisit a sampler to finish of the meal. very clear gold color doesn’t look like anything special. smells nice of barnyard and lemongrass and florals. tastes of light spice, saison yeast, wheat, floral, peppery, lemons, straw and barnyard, and some grainy notes. very light and drinkable but very pleasant
