4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Swingtop, 2/4/14, from Jesterdeal, drunk on 2/16/14
Lovely golden-pear colored body is topped by a smattering of white head that recedes to cover. Light haziness to it that increases as I get towards the bottom of the growler.
Very light tartness in the nose, just a hint of lactic-like cheesiness followed by dry wheat and oat cream-like notes and floral hoppiness that mixes with pepper phenols. Extremely dry and clean, no flaws or alcohol.
Light bubblegum, pears and wheat creaminess in the mouth with a touch of lemon zest spiciness from the hops, plentiful pepperiness from the yeast and a soft but ample body showcasing the supple texture provided by the different grains. This swingtop is 12 days old and it says "Drink within 48 hours" which I initially took to mean, after opening. But I’m thinkin they meant within filling...Anyways, my rating definitely reflects how this would be fresh on draft, not 12 days old in a growler. Pretty frickin good. Thanks Jesse!

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bright in citrus, murky in yellow appearance. Strong notes of rusticness, cardboard and hay. Heavy on the rye. Refreshing, though, and easy to drink.

Pours light yellow with a spicey rye bite. Taste is grassy, with spice and lemon. Not bad.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft @ Tired hands, 1/24/2012. I prefer this over the H.C.S I sample right before it. Really beautiful flavor of fresh cut grass, zesty yeast with a chewy mouthfeel from the oats the brewer uses. The flavor is balanced with sweet grain and a nice level of bright citrus hops. The finish is clean and real refreshing. This would be great in the summer but also works well in the cold of January. Great classic example of the style.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
11/6/13 $2 4oz at the bar. 2nd 4oz beer after filling up 7 growlers to trade. First saison ever drank while "rating beers". Pours a slightly cloudy yellow with nice lemony yeast flavors. I liked it better then the "we are infinite..."

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brewery. Peppery yeast notes and a bit of citrus on the nose. Flaovr is similar with a thin but sharp mouthfeel. Interesting beer. Good saison.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aroma is nice with barnyard, yeast, citrus, and violets. Pours cleanish and Amber with a small head. Taste is clean and wonderful with yeasty barnyard, slight citrus, and perfection. This is a perfectly made saison.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This one poured a hazy bright yellow with a white head. Aroma was of pale grain, lemon, coriander , chamomille, and grass. Flavor was similar, mild harness, but a bit too grainy for me without much pop.

UPDATED: JUL 27, 2015 On draft at TH. Cloudy dishwater appearance. Interesting idea, using four different kinds of grains. Smooth, light, complex & pleasantly sour. Cereal grains, citrus, fruit vinegar, clove, and a dash of cider. A good summer release, similar to a Berliner weisse and almost venturing into wine territory. Very good. Is Tired Hands the master of saisons or what?
