Pours a nice red/orange with a medium white head that leaves nice lacing. Nose is of red fruits, yogurt and overall really nice and Flanders-ish. Taste is vinous and fruity, offers some vinegar of the good kind. More berries and small red fruits in the flavor. Mouthfeel is juicy/vinous, body medium and carbonation moderate. Overall a nice rendition of the style, not over the top and really balanced. Nice!

Bottle (500 ml). From John, thanks! Slightly hazy copper/amber with a small off-white head and no lacing. Aroma is of vanilla, oak, red fruits, caramel, and acetic notes. Taste is also of oak, vanilla, caramel, red fruits, acetic notes and hints of ketchup. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Oaky finish. Good attempt at an American Sour Red. Decent complexity. Tasty.

> Spot on Flemish red with big oak and cranberry

[ Bottle ][ 500mL ][ TheEpeeist ][ Trade ][ Tired Hands Stemware ][ 7.12.14 ]
>> Pours clear deep amber red with reddish tea core. Wispy, small head brings exceptional webby lacing. Nose is vanilla frosting, sweet cherry, grapefruit, pound cake. Taste is Oerbier Reserva like with mild tannic cranberry and oak, leathery fruit skin/grapefruit, low to medium citric keeps this from being a 100% lemon juice bomb. Big lactic focusing on cranberry. Very nice. Mild bitterness throughout.

>!< a tad anesthetic, fairly tannic

Hazy red sepia, thin dense cream head. Acetic and playdoh heavy plum nose, light oak astringency, character dominated by uncontrolled yeast. Heavy plastic and berry brett dominates front, juicy mid is tart, sticky, cleansing through the oaky and full, bubbly finish, drying and bitter despite high acidity. Odd beer, perhaps better out of the bottle.

Pre-DLD bottle share at Hampton Inn. Pour is hazy amber/red with a very small white head. Aroma and flavor are of sour mix, oak, apple cider, earth, and fruit juice. Finish is slight booze, fruit, and sour funk.

Dark amber-brown body, thin off-white head, spotty lacing. Oak, cherry, must, light earth, and just a touch of acetic character. A nice sour red that doesn’t get weighed down by a ton of acetic acid. Medium bodied, moderate acidity, lingering finish.

500ml bottle. Thanks Matt... Pours a hazy reddish walnut red with a skimpy maybe even non-existent head... Aroma of plummy tart sour oak but not abrasive or of the vinegar variety. Nice... Flavors are more of the same with a decent level of sourness with notes of stone fruit and plummy tartness. Carbonation level is good with just shy of a medium body. Impressed with this old bruin which are hard to execute well these days.

Amber with an off white head. Nose is wood, tart, sour, acidic and funky. Great palate, tart dried fruits, wood, acidic, tannins, with a smooth finish.

Pours a rusty umber color with a finger of eggshell foam. The nose is musty barrel funk, grape soda, earthy composted malts, vanilla, apple cider vinegar and a lingering vinous fruit complexity.
