Courtesy of Jon. Pours black with fizzy brown head. Carbony sweet chocolate aroma. Flavor is a dark burnt bitter and tobacco. Surprisingly light and refreshing body. Finishes dry. Very tasty.

Bottle... Pours black with a small, creamy, beige head. Excellent retention. The aroma is both roasty and rooty Ė charred oak and sassafras. Medium to full-bodied with soft carbonation. The flavor is roasty and lightly acidic with a hint of cinnamon. Finishes singed and tangy with lingering spice-rack spiciness. I picked up no mollusks in this beer. Bottle courtesy of landhoney!

samplat at the HF bottle share, thanks for whoever brought it!! This is a great oyster stout, i like the idea, these guys have a unique subtle brewing style that works very well with many different styles.

Jesterdeal (1887) - Marlton, New Jersey, USA - JUL 26, 2013
Bottle shared from Bruce. Aroma of salty mineral, chocolate, roasted coffee, and slight vanilla. Pours black but thin looking with a humungous head. Took a while for the head to go down. Taste was nice with a salty chocolate covered pretzel taste. Slight brine notes and good coffee roast. Mouthfeel was a little thin but still roasty. Easily the best escargo stout Iíve ever tasted.

Pours jet black with a big brown head. Aroma of Saison yeast, roast and chocolate. Taste is slightly tart and peppery, mineral notes with some roast. Slightly thin with a lot of carbonation. Very interesting beer. I donít think Iíve had anything like it.

Thanks Jean! Glad I get to try this one. Enjoyed at Cellar Temp in a stemmed wine glass

A - Murky, almost black appearance. Impossible to see through but some light brown / amber edges. 4 finger head on a slow pour..looks like this one is bottle conditioned.

S - Big roasted barley character, a slight bit of chocolate and an even slighter level of smokiness. Has a slight brett nose which wasnít expected but always nice.

T - Start is a roasted malts and slight cookie dough taste. Hint of cherries and coffee at the center. Finish is a smoky bitterness with burnt oak

M - Very soft up front but has a chalky finish. Nice overall level of carbonation.

O - Quite possibly the closest beer Iíve ever had to Everett with only one downside and thatís the smokiness at the finish sticks around for a very long time. Without that, it would be a great porter but I wouldnít call this one a stout.

Thanks, Moll. Served side by side in Tired Hands and Stillwater wine glasses. The latter finally in my possession courtesy of drabmuh. Thanks, Matt!! Slight mineral character with roast and mild chocolate. Mineral fairly heavy in flavor with a bit of earth. Very mild leather.

Bottle. Split with Sean. Pours sinful black, with massive and beautiful tiny bubble coffee colored head. Aromas and flavor of bitter dark chocolate, coffee, roasted grains, tobacco, earthy yeast, cherries and other dark fruit, light vanilla and some nice hoppy notes. Medium body.
