It pours clear thin gold with thin off white head. The aroma has tangelo to grapefruit citrus notes as well as tropical mango goodness and faint malt sweetness in the background. The taste is a little thin but it brings up crisp rich grapefruit, tangelo and mango like notes that lean heavily on bitter hoppiness but still maintains a modest level of flavor hoppiness. This is just fresh crisp and crazy sessionable to boot. Damn!

Growler from Tom, thanks dude. Pours a nice golden amber color with a white head. Aroma brings notes of the Simcoe hops, bitter and sweet and smooth along with vague anise and booze in the background, right on the money for a single IPA. The nose gets even more pleasant and herbal as the temperature goes up. The flavors start with some light bitter hops, tad bit of lime, and some herbal notes overall that end light and smoothly.

Growler courtesy of drabmuh. Served in Tired Hands stemware. Nice pine and fruit. No anise. Dry. Quite bitter. Light-medium body. Love the Simcoe. Really refreshing and easy to drink.

UPDATED: AUG 20, 2012 On tap at TH. Pours a hazy golden color with small white head, full streaks of lacing. Aromas of heavy pine, lemons, grassy herbs, citrus, maybe a touch of melon. Taste is a nicely balanced refreshing juicy simcoe hop flavor, with some light bready malt, and caramel in the finish. The anise was barely present in the flavor.

Draft at tired hands with pat, vin and Allen. Pours a clear golden body with nice white lacing. Aroma is fresh, light citrus. Mouthfeel is soft and super refreshing with notes of citrus and very light floral flavors.

Hazy golden color with a medium sized, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of pine, floral hops, toast, anise, citrus, and some dark fruitiness. Taste of pine, citrus, anise, toast, and light grapefruit in the finish.

Growler shared by drabmuh. Thanks Matt. The beer is light orange with a half inch of white head. The aroma offers light spice, citrus, melon, grass. Nice flavor. Definitely hop forward but not overwhelming or particularly aggressive. More of a smooth operator. The bitterness is mellow. Light to moderate carbonation. Lingering spice and citrus. Dangerously drinkable. Serving type: growler Reviewed on: 07-23-2012

Pours a clear golden/orange honey color with a medium creamy white head. ..lively with nice retention. Aroma is very herbal...i wouldnt place it if i hadnt known there was anise. Flavor is herbal with mild pine notes creeping in. Mouthfeel is medium and silky with a dry herbal/piney finish.

Clear pale golden body. Moderate size puffy white head. Spotty lacing. Nose is a clean grapefruit and pine nose showcasing simcoe and a hint of anise. Flavor is a slight drop off with the hops mellowing out and the anise seeming slightly out of place. The body is a little thin at seven percent and could use a bit more carbonation. A bit underwhelming.
